Unrestored

Examples of unrestored 1970 Chevelle SS454 LS6s Convertibles quite literally don't come any better than this. You'll see why that's the case later on in the slideshow. This model has 10,222 original miles and now it's up for sale!

The Perfect Example

Since the '80s, this Chevelle has served as a reference example for LS6 Convertible judging and restoration guidelines. It's had four owners over its 50-year-life, with three of them taking ownership in the last 19 years.

A Monster

Under this car's hood lies a true monster. The 454 ci v8 LS6 powerplant pumps out 450 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 500 lb.-ft of torque at 3,600 RPM. These ridiculous figures meant it had the highest horsepower output of any production car when it launched.

All Original

As you'd expect, everything on this car is original from its Tuxedo Black paint to its matching Black interior. Even the front and rear floor mats are the same ones that originally came with the car.

Interior

This Chevelle's interior is just as impressive as its exterior. Once you open the door you can sit back into its Strato bucket seats and face its padded SS dash and gauges. It also features fiber optics and auxiliary lighting.

All The Extras

Not many boxes were left unticked when this car was ordered. It features a remote driver's mirror, tinted windshield, and rear defogger. It also has power front discs, windows, and top.

Fuller Car

Many people who are involved in the hobby know this as the "Fuller Car". It was purchased new by Bob Fuller in 1970. Fuller spent the next 30 years pampering the car and preserving all of its glory.

Too Many Accolades

As you'd expect, this model has too many accolades to name but we'll give you some of them. It won Best Unrestored Chevelle at the 1988 Super Chevy Show in Indianapolis, and Best in Class at the 1989 Muscle Car Nationals in Cedar Falls, Iowa. It was also featured in Muscle Car Review in 1987.
