Oh No!! Not another Camaro Wide Body Thread!
I think its the same width as the Harrel cars, They are a lot more pronounced in person. Its kind of hard to get good pics of primer.
I am going to stick with arctic white, I just got done redoing my entire engine bay and I don't want to have to start that over again.
I thought of that, but when I started the projec I was a little skeptical of the whole thing and I didn't want to to put the extra work into what was possibly going to be a huge FAIL! I don't think I could have used the panels I got for a mold, the quarters werent even close to the shape I wanted, or ended up with. They took a LOT of work after they were on the car.
so did the you leave the factor rear fenders and just bondo on those or what?
thanks
I kept the original quarters in place, then I used sheet metal screws to hold the new panel in place, fiberglassed the edges, then used body filler to finnish it off.
a) Removing side mouldings on door and front fender so as to just have a bead on rear quarter, door, and fender
b)Adding molding to the rear quarter
Seems like you should have one or the other, not both. Either way, car looks amazing.
I almost think that for $200 you could have fiberglassed your own. Those e-bay ones looked like crap, but after all of your work, they turned out awesome!

How much weight do they add to the car, roughly?
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't seem like anyone will ever end up making/selling a wide body kit for Camaros, right? That sucks... a lot of people would have been interested.

I should hopefully be painting sometime at the end of the year.

??Elaborate??
here you can see a 240sx before they put the widebody fenders over it. cutting the original quarter panels allows you to fit wider wheels with a smaller offset back there so it can fill out the wheel well entirely. while my example is an EXTREME CASE AND NEVER TO BE DONE ON FBODIES im just trying to illustrate my point of cutting the original fender to the edge of the quarter to fit wider wheels
again you dont need to go extreme like this unless you plan on sitting on the gound with an airbag setup
sorry these pics make me lol

i would say me and chris but i was busy on the rear susp. setup, however chris got my rear fenders to the insane height i wanted them at and we figured we wanted to laugh and see how high the wheel had to go before it ever rubbed again. the results are hilarious haha

and just because
