As far as the q45 diff, i chose it because of the gear ratio and i know a few people who have done very well with them. BEsides, i got the entire rear end including brakes and everything for cheap. I'm sending the axles to moser to be shortened and re-splined.
deathbyspoon,

You can use the Q45 diff in the 240 subframe by using the drivers side Q45 axle on the passenger side of the 240 and a drivers side 300zx twin turbo axle on the drivers side. You also need to use either the Q45 hubs or the twin turbo hubs. Everything else bolts up. I am about to install the whole setup in my 240. Good luck with yours.

Tim

Dave - Mind if i link to a couple of the pics you sent me? I also sent you a link yesterday for the 10 on ebay.

As far as my build is going, i'm investigating going with l92 heads. I'm going to pull the stock ls2 heads off today and see what the pistons look like....

Without the pumpkin, what does the rear subframe weigh?

Looks like a fun project. I've been pondering my Stroker in a MG Midget or a MG B.

I'm guessing a wide body kit/mod is in the future plans for this project? Can you imagine running this car on an autocross course, it would be no contest fo sho.

I'm looking into some body mods for sure. So far, the the possibility of carbon fiber front fenders/hood/trunk door and looking pretty good. the rear fenders might have to be fiberglass. We'll see :-)

In regards to the carbon fiber, i've got a local friend who used to do it for a living until recently. We'll start with the hood, and the plan is for me to learn enough to do the rest on my own. It could turn out awesome, it could suck ***. Hopefully, it'll be the former.

Hey, It is a very cool project indeed! How about posting the progress on HybridZ? There are several people interested even though it is not a Z. You are a member, right?
