Default Twisted my Driveshaft

SO October 3rd was Columbus Racing's Track rental at National Trails. Had a great day made it thought the track rental no problems. Pulled out a couple 12.90 @111 with a 2.0 60'. After the track rental NT allowed us to stay for the Test and Tune for free.. Cant beat that so we left my car there and went and grabbed some dinner about an hour and a half later we went back Dropped the Psi in my Drag Radials to 15. Headed out to make my first pass of test and tune. Hit the burnout box. 3rd gear burn out really got those mickey's hot, car felt really really strong. Prestaged, Staged brought my RPM's up to 5k waited for my light last yellow drops i let the clutch out, when i hear this really loud BOOOM!!! CLUNK, CLUNK, CLUNK!!!!! I was like WTF man. Got out of my car saw i didn't even get a foot off the F-ing line. tired to walk back the rear of my car but didn't get fair because the track was to sticky my shoes were stuck to the track.. so the pit crew towed my car back to the GTO parking area where we jacked up my car and found this....

We have a one piece shaft that can withstand 900hp. Also we have billet axle stubs and 300m cv shafts for your gto. Take a look at our site and if you have any questions or need to order anything give me a call.

Well, now you truly do have a 2-piece driveshaft. It happens, order BMR's unit and be done with it.

Yeah the M6's are very abusive on the rest of the drivetrain. It's somewhat the reason why I went from an M6 to the A4. I've cut TONS of low 1.5 60 foot times with this setup so far and my only mod behind the transmission is Royal Purple fluid in the differential.

I hope I'm not knocking on wood about my driveshaft and rear-end holding up though. The last time I made a comment about my stock transmission taking all of this beating without any problems I found out 3-4 weeks later that my first gear wasn't holding pressure and there was clutch material in the bottom of the trans pan. Haha. That weak link has been fixed with a Performabuilt Level II tranny, but hopefully everything else lasts for now.

Replace it with oem, the driveshaft is the weekest link, put it this way it is much better to replace your drive shaft than to replace your sub axles, rear end or even the tranny

It says it is not recommended for 6 speed cars though. I've read about the vibrations the driveshafts cause in a 6 speed car. Is there a way to remedy this?

Hello, its the steel driveshafts that are not recommended for 6 speed cars. The one on our site and in the pic is our aluminum shaft good to 800 rwhp.

This is going to sound stupid but i wasnt getting the tires hot enough so the owner of the DR's I was using said to put in Third and melt the tires.. I didnt just that.. the whole day i was having traction problem but after the thrid gear burn out i hooked hard.. LOL O well learn from doing stupid stuff.

Got a NEW one peice in there now.. IT MAKES ALOT OF NOISE!!!!! someone told me to change the tail shaft with a longer one..

And Stress on the clutch i wasnt thinking about it was a brand new Southbend clutch.. Had put finished braking it in on the way to the track.

Which 1-piece drive shaft did you go with?
