Default Manual GTO's ONLY

Does anyone out there make a steel braided clutch line for a GTO? I installed a GMM rip shifter and clutch and noticed after a few runs at the track that it is really hard to shift fast into gears. I was told you need to bleed the hell out of the clutch to get it shift with the rubber one and needs to be done often. Also in the installation instructions from GMM rip shifter it recommends a steel braided line for fast shifting. It is great to know that and for them to flaunt this in your face but they dont make one for left hand drive cars!!! If anyone knows who makes one please help.

I'm failing to see how the shifter being used would have anything to do with the clutch not responding quickly enough. You should probably take a look into a new clutch slave (most likely component to wear) and/or a new master at the same time you're replacing the line. Since you have way more power than stock parts were intended to handle along with way more grip and a modified clutch (for which it's safe to assume requires more actuation force), you're putting a lot of heat into the clutch slave when you launch (and shift, for that matter). You may see a difference switching to the braided line, but my guess is that you'll just be delaying seeing the effects from the real problem.

GTO's have issues with the clutch when you get them hot. Try flushing the fluid good and see if that makes it any better. If not tell me how the line works, I might be interested.

The braided line does work. Also its a good idea to get a remote bleed line also. I went a little further and insulated my lines from the heat of the headers. I havnt had a problem since I did these things.

Yesterday I did order a braided line that was insulated with a remote bleeder. The issue is the fluid heating up, causing the rubber line to expand and allowing air to get into the circiut. The clutch line did have a good flush after the clutch and shifter install. It was after a couple times at the track did the shifting issues become a problem. I was also told that they heat up due to the headers, thus my reasoning for ordering the line insulated. I was also coached to use motule high performance brake fluid. It has a 600+ degree boiling point. I will be buying a new slave for it as well, might as well since the tranny will already be out. It sucks to learn leasons like this. The slave should be fine since the car only has 13k on it, but I am one to take extra pre-cautions when I can to get optimal results.
