Vengeance VRX5 Cam Question
Vengeance VRX5 Cam Question Anyone in here with an LS2 running the VRX5 cam? I have seen the graphs on them and they seem to have a good bit of power down low. Would like to hear from anyone who has one installed as after all the research I have done that seems to be the cam that would provide the best power for what I want. Thanks in advance.
I am running one and love it! It is easy to drive and is quick. I am sure I will be in the high 11's once I get a clutch. Best run so far is a 12.211 with a bad clutch and not getting in 4th gear. Let me know what else you would like to know.
My mods are Cam, Headers, H-Pipe, Mufflers, and of course a tune. Stock intake and exhaust tubing. 414 HP 396 Tq.

Verdad Gallardo Commissar, do you drive a GTO? Just curious as I am looking for around 440ish to the wheels. I have a Volante CAI, with 1 3/4 Dynatech headers, followed by their high flow cats, with a Magnaflow catback, currently running a Predator Bobcat 455 tune that gave me 369hp 372tq to the wheels on a hot humid day. I have been told by more than a couple folks the VRX5 should get me there with current mods. Thanks for posting your full graph, that torque curve is awesome!!
Yeah that is in a 2006 GTO M6. Dyno was ran on a decent day, had a leak in my exhaust so I had about 10 pulls before we got a good pull (A/F showing very lean, had to connect to the 02 bung). Meaning motor was hot. Probably have about 420/400 if the runs were done on a cooler motor. I think 440 would be pushing it with those mods. Although my tuner tunes very conservative, he is a GTO owner not a shop and doesn't want to blow up anyones car. Guess in the right conditions you might see 440... however I am still leaning more towards the 420's.
Best 1/4 mile times are a 12.27@112.8MPH and a 12.21@108. My clutch was gone and wouldn't let me get into 4th. I probably would have hit 11's had I been able to get the gears. DA conversions say I should be in the high 11's.

I will give it a go without the intake first and see where it ends up, that is the nice thing about the LS motor's they are so much fun to spend money on!!! Now I just have to not buy some other stuff for the other toys to put some new stuff in the Goat.
