How much does your T/A Weigh? Race Weight?
mine is 3570 without me in and and with a full tank of gas
car has the rear seats removed, almost all emissions equipment removed. but the original owner had the under body coated with Line-X and had the frame filled with foam
car has a 12-bolt, lots of BMR chassis/suspension parts, all are chrome moly except the TA and SFCs, which are mild steel.

3350 with a 1/4 tank of fuel, and me in it. 8.50 cert car, still has stock k frame and a arms, stock hood, and alot of other crap that can go.
I think the car can get to 3000 with me in it with the right stuff replaced/redone/removed.

most of the suspension is moly, rear lca's and phb are aluminum, QA1's, only a dash, door panels, and driver seat for interior, ls1 aluminum block, th-350 trans, strange drag brakes front and back, only necessary wiring, moly roll bar, narrowed 12 bolt w/ light spool, gear, and axles, nasty perf. aluminum tank, bogart wheels and i think thats about it. the front section of the frame where the bumper support mounts is cut back to core support and that is the only thing cut on the car. just ALL of the unnecessary crap is gone.
3525 w/ me in it and i weigh in at around 170, thats with a full tank of gas, all the factory stuff except a spare tire but in it's place is a 25 pound full N2O bottle, fiberglass ram air hood and greg welds in front and prostars out back.

I have a 98 Formula 6 speed hard top cloth seats. I also have pretty much every after market suspenstion part(LCA, SFC, Torque Arm, Panhard, stock springs and shocks) and 12 bolt other than that full weight nothing taken out(except Cats). I cant remember if I had my AIR and EGR out when I had it weighed or not, so it may be 15 lbs off. Weight was taken with 1/2 tank of fuel.

You will be paying for Med School the rest of your life, might as well have some fun now. 
Although myself being pretty financially sound I waited to buy a good car until I was done with school and had it all paid off.
