New Edelbrock LSx Intake Manifold at SEMA, claiming much more power than FAST
my outlook:
performs= $9xx
doesnt perform= $400
Their single plane Victor Jr. outflows the FAST above 6500 RPM's as well & is only $400. And it also excells with cubes above 346 & boosted applications.
Main problem is most people will shy away from Aluminum intake & nuthug composite. I myself am not worried about losing a little down low if it's more than made up for up top. Who races in low RPM's anyway?? I'm also not worried about "heat soak" from the aluminum intake as you will not see a effect from that until the car is shut off & no fresh air is flowing thru the intake. Alot of others feel the same, especially in high HP applications, hence the popular sheet metal intakes.
So I'd say there is a market for a Aluminum intake priced around $400 if it outperforms a composite intake priced at $1000.

The runners are very short compred to a FAST etc. Edelbrock told me its out in January and already in their catalog etc. They have it finished etc with no delays or wait time.

Props to Edelbrock for finally giving the FAST some competition. Now lets see some numbers from unbiased 3rd parties.
