S2000 vs. WS6

S2000 vs. WS6 So me and my buddies were on the way back home from Cici's a while back and I see this little car quickly weaving through traffic behind me in my rearview mirror. I immediately got my hopes up thinking it was some typical ricer that i could harrass. By the times he comes to the side of me, god blessed a red light on us and we both stopped.... instantly my buddies are giving me **** telling me to burn him.... Well turns out the car is a S2000, I had never ran against one or seen one in person... must not be common in the houston area...I was a little nervous because I had no idea what this car could dish out.
So anyways, I look at him and do a slight rev to see if he budges...(It was a little chinese dude, reminded me of the guy in tokyo drift, kinda funny) He doesn't look over at me at all... but I noticed a little grin after I did it, so I knew that was a "lets go"...
Light turns green and i slowly roll off waiting for him to punch it, he was doing the same finally he punches it and I catch it the exact same time...
He pulls on me in first but by second im pulling ahead, by the end of 2nd his front bumper is at my door... and half way through 3rd hes a car or two behind.
To my surprise though i could hear the turbo as he shifted, so i was shocked to see he was still behind...
My question is did i get lucky? I had two guys in the car and myself. I'm only 5'2 and about 120. All our weight together was about 450lbs?
I'm running stock internals, with chokemasters, no tires either just plain ole' street tires..

i killed a turbo integra when he tried his famous fly by a while back ago.
wonder what it had guess ill never know.
The car is only 240HP at the crank. So even with a turbo kit, lets say he gained 30%, he's still only slightly over 300 at the crank. Its an extremely high compression motor, you can't push much boost without rebuilding it for lower compression.

If you can launch it perfectly without stalling or bogging it down, which is difficult considering it has about 90ft/lbs of torque. So if you launch below 6K and it hooks, you're prety much all done, because the motor is falling flat on its face.

The S2000 has 240HP that weighs 2900lbs...thats 12.08lbs per HP.
LS1 weighs 3450 and has 350HP...thats 9.8lbs per HP.
ZR1 has 638HP and weighs 3250...thats 5.09lbs per HP.
Where do you people get this **** from...

I understand this, but he's got a totally stock LS1 as far as I know. I'm not doubting the LS1, but he's not taking down a turboed S2k in his stock LS1, especially by a couple of cars.

Turbo S2000s are hitting 400rwhp+ on stock internals... it might be high compression, but it also has forged internals. So yes, any sort of decent driver in a turbo S2000 should beat a stock LS1. Especially when the F-body has a passenger and the S2000 driver is alone. Even the very basic bolt-on supercharger kits are putting down about 320rwhp on conservative tunes, and we all know that turbos are more efficient. Sounds like either a bolt-on car with a really good driver, or a turbo car with either really low boost (like, 4-6psi) or a higher boost car with a terrible driver. Good kill either way OP

he easily could have espically if the s2k was untuned on low boost with a stock head gasket. Or maybe the guy could not drive well, anything happens on the street. But i would not count on him beating any other turbo s2k's with people in his almost stock car again.

Most just run a thicker head gasket to lower compression.

Probably had some mods but no turbo. When I was in cali my buddy had one and it had a cold air intake that was sucking so much air it would make a loud whistle. That might be what you heard. good kill, but looks like you need to find him and find out for us what is in it!
his VTECH must not have been working right or something.....you are just lucky it wasn't a sacred type R of ANY model! Even Chuck Norris is afraid of the type R!!!!!

Just because it may have a turbo doesn't mean it was setup right, or runs right, or is fast. I knew a guy a couple years ago with an integra, he dropped 6 grand on getting a turbo put on it and tuned all that stuff. He put 220 to the wheels. Weak sauce.
