body mount tq arm ????
body mount tq arm ???? my buddy has a umi or bmr tunnel brace mounted adjustable torque arm. will this work on my 2000 z28? hes giving it to me for a killer price. both cars are a4 if that matters. his is a 1995. i dont know the brand of it but it is red its not a spohn he said its either a umi or a bmr

Will work great, but be warned they are not for the faint of heart on a DD. They are clunky and harsh. I ran one on my SS for over a year and finally sold it, it was simple TOO MUCH t/a for my mild set-up.

I'm getting a dedicated drag car so i could use that on there. i have one on my 02, although its not my dd, it did alter the ride of the car, i do hate the 2nd gear downshift clunk, but other than that its not that noticable except how low it is, if i was to buy one i wouldnt but since it was free i threw it on, didnt notice any traction improvment, to me its just piece of mind of keeping the stock t/a off the back of the tranny
i highly suggest if you cant deal with the clunky, yet you want a to take tq arm off the trans. i suggest getting the trans crossmember mounted tq arms, which utilize any stock/aftermarket tq arm that designed to mount to the transmission. it is a much more rigid part of the unibody and it will definitely reduce or eliminate the chance of clunking

Verdad Gallardo It proves a better/quicker center of gravity for the car at launch. It really does work, but in all honesty it is a bit much for a street DD. They work GREAT, but like it has been mentioned they have their quirks.
Also if you will be doing any serious road racing type stuff, i suggest you remove it as they are known to induce rear wheel brake hop under heavy decel.

I have one, and it clunks alot, the major downside to it is that it has shitty ground clearance. I ripped it off the bottom of the Car loading it onto the Tralier. That kinda pissed me off, so now I have to get in there and mess with it.
If I could sell it, I would and get one of the ones that are mounted off of the Trans and on that Cross Member. I don't do alot of Track Racing with it any more, and I want to put it on the Street with a smooth ride.
