tci flexplate to vigilante converter clearence

I'm doing a m6-th400 and i just finish installing the converter and the tranny, i read on vigilate website (precision industries) that the distance from the converter to the flexplate should be between 1/16-1/8 which is equal to
.0625-.125. I measure the gap and it comes out to be .167 which is over what i should be in. The converter is all the way in the tranny so i know the measurement is accurate. What now put a washer on if and if so what side of the flexplate to put it on?

Put a 1/16 shim between the converter pads and the flex-plate. You will need 3 of them and make sure they are equal in length. It will be perfect then.

any idea where to get some at??

i think i have some that i had previously used on my rockers (due to my pushrod being too long) but i dont think the hole on them are big enough, anyways any suggestions?

Find some SAE washers. They will be the same height and about 1/16". Get them for 10MM or 3/8" bolts and the hole will be perfect.
