Question Heater Hosse Fittings
Can anyone tell me where to get 90deg heater hose fittings to replace the straight ones coming out of my LSx water pump? I have been searching here for hours and can't seem to find them... thanks

Remove the hose barbs and tap the holes, 3/8" NPT & 1/2" NPT. Then you can use any AN or pipe fitting you can find.

What AC compressor are you using? Also, are you running the stock type serpentine belt and tensioner?

Andy,,,
It's a Saden compressor & brackets I got from street & preformance.

Sanden 508 R12 Compressor
Low LS1/LS6 AC Bracket with Bolt
Low Idler Bracket Passenger Side
Smooth Idler Pulley with Bolt

I'm runing the alternator low on the drivers side, no PS pump, a GM tensioner high on the motor with a custom bracket.



Note this not my motor,,, but I copied this setup.

GPVette, running the belt route like you have it is a pain in the butt. The Belt makes all kinds of squealling when it is running. Im not sure why the factory five guys havent changed it yet.

Thanks for the info! Do you have a photo of the high tensioner mount. I did mine a similar way, though I retained the narrow AC belt and stock compressor to keep the primary belt short.

Notice in that pic that the upper (Vintage Air) idler pulley is missing? By reinstalling it, you'll get close to 60° more "wrap" around the drive pulley and prolly ditch the sqeal.

Here is a picture of the bracket on my motor. Factory Five supplied it,,, and then I modified it a bit. There was an ongoing issue with squeel,, but bracing this bracket seems to have fixed it for most builders as it was flexing.
