best way to make 1000+hp?
im going with pa racing again for ls into 3rd gen
So buy your AFR 23 degree heads get them fully massaged put some titanium retainers on her. Get a callies crank with some 6 inch h beam rods. Some forged pistons. Throw the twin turbo kit on there. There is a guy on Team Camaro that sells headers all the way to waste gates, blow off valves, controls, oil cooled turbos 100% setup for like 6 grand. I am sure he will gaurantee it will fit and since the Mowtown block is a SBC with BBC bore and displacement you can get away his turbo Kit i believe I am pretty sure the block takes SBC heads. Witht this set up you will be right at 20k but **** if you dont have an engine capable of 1500+ hp. I would get your cylinders ringed and put like 20+ psi in here on about 8 to 1 compression. Put a mild cam in here one that has a little lope but makes power around 2000 maybe a little higher because with that displacement your turbos will be spooling right arond when you are making power. Make sure your turbos are sized appropriately or you will overspin them and kiss them good bye. Rule of thumb is 180K-200K is to high for turbos but they make boost around 110K-120K usually.

Stock 454 BBC with an off the shelf hyd. roller. Cast crank, rods, pistons(never freshened), untouched oval port heads, even ran the stock GM head bolts for a majority of the season. 300 shot plate right out of the hole: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1Xfa4r9rdo

I have run a 200 shot on a bone stock 91 305 for a year without problems, a big block that is built? Like spraying a 100 shot on a 350.
