Since E85 is mandated to be 85% ethanol, I can not see the octane rating varying that much since the major of it is ethanol than that is determining the 'octane' rating. I am sure the 15% of other stuff and affected, but it can not be that drastic. From everything I have read E85 has about the same octane rating as 100 unleaded.
The main reason I have not switched over is that there are few stations here in Denver that carry E85. There is not a single station within 15 miles of my home.
