Default Dyno Results: PRC stage 2.5 heads and cam

Okay i finally got my car back after having some issues due to bad parts. Anyways I put down 427RWHP and 386 RWTQ. Now I need some gears and a new clutch. BTW the guys down at LMR are awesome.

The car is an 2001 Camaro m6 with the following mods:

PRC 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads
TSP 233/239 595/603 113LSA
Fast 92MM intake/92MM TB
Pacesetter headers and Catted y-pipe
SLP catback exhaust
36LB injectors
LS7 lifters
ls6 ported oil pump
Double rollermaster adjustable timing chain
ARP head bolts
TSP Chromemoly 7.4 Pushrods
Tuning was done by LMR in Houston.

What do you guys think? Torque seems a bit low.....

Possibly a stingy dyno? Maybe a bad weather correction? The parts listed sound like they'd make a very healthy number.

Maybe the cats and that y pipe is holding the power back a bit? and maybe the dyno. But not too far off. Graph?

for comparison here is my set up but an A4 with 75k miles(3 part post)
pat g cam 232/238 6xx 6xx 111 lsa
same heads 2.5 5.3
ported fast 90/90

1.Now with 3:23 gears, TCI ssf 3500 stall,Hedman lt 1 5/8 step to 1 3/4 headers it put down 434 rwhp 407 rwt

2.Added 3:73 gears and put down 424 rwhp 4xx rwt

3.now I added a bigger stall... 5c which is a 42-4400 stall, but at the same time gone with bigger hooker 1 7/8th headers..Now I put down 426rwhp 4xx rwt..Cant remember exact tourque but they were all over 400..

So did I lose 10 rwhp by going to a larger stall and the bigger headers gave 10 back or did the stall not matter and the headers gave 2rwhp

Hope this helps you out..Could just be a stingy dyno..either way its just numbers..How does the car feel ?

dynojet does NOT read lower numbers than other dynos. in fact they are the higher of most. Mustang dynos on the other hand read very low, but they use the weight of the vehicle to put a load on the wheels causing it to give you a lower number, BUT its a more true RWHP reading, as if you were driving on the road.

I agree with Pat G, the numbers seem a bit low for that setup. Give us an update when you take care of the clutch. Do you suspect it was slipping at all? It's not the stocker, is it?

I am not sure. I know right around 6500 or so the clutch sinks in. The clutch is the stocker BTW

I wouldn't put too much faith in those numbers if you're still running the stock clutch on that setup. It's possible it held for your dyno runs, but I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't. My 50k stocker started slipping noticably immediately after the H/C setup was put on my car and I'm not even close to your numbers.

I plan on getting a new one. probably a spec 3 or ls7 clutch and a lighter flywheel also. im thinking once it gets broke in a little i can have it re dynoed and make more power.

I have a very similar setup to yours on my 02 SS m6, only diff is I have the MS3 and LS7 clutch:

TSP 5.3L Stage 2.5 heads, TSP MS3 237/234 113LSA cam, 90MM FAST intake and 90MM TB, SLP headers/catted y-pipe, LS7 Lifters, LS6 Ported Oil Pump, Double Rollmaster adj Timing Set, Fast 36lb injectors. SLP LM Dual/Dual exhaust

On a dynojet I put down: 435rwhp/387rwtq

Was the converter locked for all these pulls?

A smaller diameter (lighter) high rpm stall will put down more rwhp when comparing both locked up...

Make sure the cats you have arent causing alot of restriction. Id really try dynoing with a offroad y-pipe with a cutout in the exhaust....you could have a bunch of horsepower hiding there. Ive seem some really crappy hi-flow cats that killed power

I made almost the exact same numbers (427/380) with the 233/239 version 1 on stock LS1 heads and a 90/90 setup plus UD pulley and ORY. I'm sure the cats aren't helping anything. Could definitely be a stingy dyno or maybe the clutch slipping too. Best way to really see how it's running is to take it to the track.

The cops suck around here is the reason for the cats. The clutch i'm sure is not doing me any good either
