I hope you reach the 500rwhp mark, or at least come remotely close..but..

I think you'll have to walk away completely content w/ 450rwhp just as long as you have those cast LS6 heads on the car.

Perhaps TFS heads, AFR 205/225's, or maybe some of those PRC 215cc's plus the intake/tb combo could get you to 480rwhp-which is awesome on a 346 setup. Regardless, it will take cut-outs, EWP, and all those other expensive bolt-ons plus the best heads money can buy to reach 500rwhp. I'm not hatin, I'm just tryin to bring your goals down to earth man so your not let down if you dont accomplish that kind of power.

500 FWHP however will be had all day long on stock cast LS6 heads.

Just so you guys know, judging by the amount of vacuum Dell's car was pulling at WOT and the fact that it was going lean because of injector limitations, I would expect his car to pick up 40 to 50 RWHP over his setup now. The heads have some very nice work done on them and as many head porters will tell you, valve job, bowl and chamber work, and back cut valves, can yeild tremendous gains. In his case we have very small heads which flow a TON of air...

So, post the dyno graph so we can see how lean it was getting. What kind of vacuum were you seeing?

Witnessed this cam in person this weekend after install by 2 Tightwads Racing in San Antonio,TX. Customers car was an '01 ZO6 Vette. All I can say is, 6 speed heavenly cam! Things started right up with stock tune-first crank, sound is totally mind boggling, and driveability believe it or not is very similar to stock once tuning gets knocked out. Other than idle (total head turner)/WOT this thing is pretty docile just driving up down the streets/freeway. And yes it does pull like a freight train until you decide its time to get out of it.

even with your setup i dont believe at all that you will make an 80 hp gain from intake and injectors. maybe another 20 hp. Few people have achieved 500hp stock bottom end and the ones who do have top of the line products and all customized to match each other.

That beiing said you made pretty good numbers with that cam and ls6 heads. Congrats

just saw that cajun says he thinks you will be able to pick up 50hp with the additions and TR are reputable tuners... but still that is a major claim. I want to see this proven.

40-50 puts him 460-470 (maybe more) range
that is impressive for "minor" head work
would love to see the graph as well

Just to let everyone know i changed my lid and maf to a 85mm and picked up 18 just from that. I haven't even done the injectors or intake yet so for everyone telling me i won't make the #'s i want i don't appreciate how negeitve yall are. All i did was publish #'s and set a goal. I understand it is a high goal but IF you don't set your gaols high you'll never know what you can do.

I am bound and determined to hit 480-500 rwhp motor only with only top end work with this awesome cam i have. Its hard to explain in words what the computer was showing when geoff was dyno/tuning my car. Guess you would have to be there to understand. I am just takeing my time in order to do everything right and just how i want it. And taking the advice givin from Shane at TR and Geoff at EPS.

Thank you for those who have been supportive with my goals on this project!!

The pushrods are actually 7.425". We needed the extra length to get the lifter preload where I wanted it. If you ordered this cam kit for stock heads, you would get 7.425" pushrods with it.

Also, Del should pick up another 20-25 with the FAST combo which would put him in the 460-470 range. That is exactly what I had hoped the car would do.

Thanks,
Shane

Better heads man. Fast 102 coming out grab that and some trick flow 215's then you can get the 500 mark... As for the 90mm ported ls6 intake. Friend of mine has it and his tuner does not like it at all. But if your a street racer you can't tell what the hell it is. Looks like a stock ls6 intake man...

Everyone screaming "better heads!! get some TFS, AFR BLAH BLAH BLAH" are stuck in that "bigger is better" mind frame. The LS6 heads with the proper work that Shane pointed out (valve job, bowl and chamber work, and back cut valves, can yeild tremendous gains) can make some SERIOUS power and have been for quite some time, WAY before the AFR/TFS/BLA BLAH heads.

OP, nice numbers. Good luck reaching your goal!
