Running a twin stage fuel system. 16 injectors. Not everything was assembled in those pictures.

They are using a injector driver box to run the other 8 injectors. They run off there own little computer with a map sensor. Basicly the other 8 injectors come on at a certain boost level and starts adding extra fuel from there. The Iinjector driver box is from Split Second.

Fuel flows into the back of 1 rail and exits the back of the other rail? I would have run them in parrallel, less chance of starving 1 cylinder.

so one rail on each side is enough to feed all those injectors? I think thats what 'cause4panic' was asking about...

*edit.. nevermind lol guess he was talking about the crossover.

You have a fuel regulator at the end. Once the fuel rails are full of fuel the regulator keeps the fuel in the rails at a certain pressure.

Maybe I'm wrong here, but from watching the throttle body, why did it seem to be at WOT for so long before RPM's went up?

****, it'll go more than that. We're changing camshafts, this one is too mild.

There's a water valve on it, almost like a chassis dyno brake that holds the engine at a certain RPM. Once you open the valve completely so that it's not holding the motor back, you can start the run.

It's much more complicated than that, but that's the best that I can describe it.

engine dynos are actually brakes. they can hold the engine at a fixed soeed no matter what the RPM. some say this gives you a more acurate BHP figure than a chassis style dyno.

We were focused on driveability on the street. Just way too small a cam and those world heads really flow a huge amount of air. Poor little cam just couldn't keep up. New much more agressive cam ordered and should be here by end of the week. Hope to do another run perhaps on Saturday. Sure glad all this is being done on the engine dyno....can you imagine if the motor were already installed!

Looks amazing! It should be very interesting to see how much more power the bigger cam makes. I really can't wait to see everything in the car!
