WTF are people complaining about? 13.0 @110 isn't bad at all. It's heavy but safe and on a better track will run low 12's. It's still faster that anyones on here Camaro when you were stock. And don't bring up Slick and crap. geeeze
You realize there have been bone stock LS1 Fbody's in the 12's right? One of them in a Mustang magazine

Yes we all know that, but this was one 2010 SS. The MPH is good for a mid 12 sec. I'm just saying that it is still faster than anyone on here stock for stock. Let that SS open up a tad and we'll see some great improvement. I also assume that the 2010 is so restricted. We will see though.
You guys saying the new Camaro is SOOO ugly are obviously SOOOO jealous you can't afford one. 
Not that I'm buying one right away even though I can, I just can't believe anyone thinks this car is ugly. Ugly should be reserved for automotive marvels such as the Prius, Aztec, etc.
As far as performance all of us bolt-on 4th gens will be getting embarassed by these "ugly" and heavy butt pigs once most of them have mild bolt-ons and tunes. And 13.0 sec stock rag times really mean 12.6-12.8's once these 5th gens are broken in and are driven with competent drivers. Stock!

I would call it a masterpiece if it were 400lbs lighter. This is part of the reason why the gto fell by the waste side because its a pig. Same will happen to the g8. Why does gm keep producing these fatbastard cars lol?

Jesus, guys. Shut up already. Everyone has their own opinion and they're entitled to it. I've ran into a shitload of people who think our 4th Gen Camaros and Trans-Ams are hideously ugly, so I just let them keep their opinion while I speed past them and let them stare at my car's ugly *** and smell my ugly car's exhaust.
And for those of you saying that they had or saw or owned 4th gens that ran in the 12s bone stock.....I call bs! not on street tires! and your 4th gen only weighed maybe 3600 w/ a large driver.
So I want to see a bone stock 4th gen w/ a 400# weight in the back on street tires run 12s. Never gonna happen!
Now with that said I am not a fan of the 5th gen, Looks wise. I think the challenger is a much better looking car. But the ls3 is a way better platform than the mopar.
Looks = challenger
Performance = camaro
And gm has a formula they use where power to weight ratio comes into play.
Meaning you are not going to get a rear drive performance car that weighs in less than 4k#s. At least not one w/ over 400hp anyway.

Y'all act surprised about this new Camaro... This is the NEW GM... The same one that put SS badges on an HHR and a Cobalt... WTF did you expect!? (no disrespect to owners of aforementioned vehicles)
That said ... I really wanted to like this new Camaro but the more I hear and see it the more I wish they had just forgot about it after that damn Transformers movie. It weighs too much, and is too big, and I'm going to go out on a limb and say that the IRS is going to be a weak link.
Sorry for the rant, but they had an opportunity to create a masterpeice and save their own *** but they didn't in my opinion ... k, I'm done.

camaro- 4000/422 = 9.47:1
vette- 3200/422 = 7.58:1
z06- 3100/505 = 6.13:1
zr1- 3100/650 = 4.76:1
the 5g is gonna run the the same times as the 03/04 cobras. plus it has 100 more hp and 500-600 lbs more then the 4th gen
coefficent drag of this car is probably .50 which equals a brick on wheels.
no thanks, ill go get the vette for 5k more
as far as GM is concerned, they missed the retro look by about 5 years. this car is a joke. they should have just made a 5th gen look like a 5th gen and not a 1st gen
again heres to the new camaro
for failure and looks 
you dont see them making a retro vette do you?
maybe you never got the memo....the vettes are 1000 lbs lighter then the camaro and are safe as well

So now we're saying that a 5th gen won't be faster than this one freaking SS? So what are people going to say when one runs 12.4? stock no MODS. Look at the launch, it was horrible and looks like the guy didn't even drive it hard. BTW, I haven't seen more than one 4th gen run 12's Bone *** stock. That means not a damn thing touched. no lid, no exhaust, no nothing and stock factory tires.
