No offense brother, but constantly referring to your car "fish-tailing" as an excuse is about as weaksauce as complaining about c.i.'s, or some other ricer excuse. If your car didn't hook, so be it, but your mph represents a pretty decent traction. I'm sure it can be improved upon, no doubt, but I highly doubt you were going down the track in some "fish-tailing" tire smoking spectacle. You have no reason to give out excuses, your car ran a very respectable time. Sure, not internet-times, but legit real-world quick for what the majority of H/C cars are running. I still see a 6.9x once you get it all dialed in though.

Not if you plan on doing any auto-xing or RR'ing. The BMR drag bar is for...well...drag only.

[QUOTE= JonCR96Z, I also enjoying hearing great advice, such as N2RACINGLS1s, saying to over tire the car because you're suspension doesn't work. Whatever you have to do, I guess.[/QUOTE]

That is pretty funny no matter who you are! To think that I have given someone advance to put a tire on their car so it will not spin!

My car has produced many 1.40 60 foot NA times with a little 26 inch tire that is 10 inches wide and on a 75 shot of nitrous has provided me with a 1.34 60 foot time and has no problem carrying the front tires for some distance ensuring the back tires are packed into the ground but I know nothing about suspension setup.

I knew I should not have done all the work on my car myself. I guess I will have to settled with 6.60's NA 1/8 mile times with triple digit MPH's runs!!

I think Lemons is on the right path, I am pretty sure he has admitted not having the correct suspension parts installed on his car at the moment and if he installs the troque arm, sway bar, air bag and slicks you will never have to exchange post with him again because he will be getting his timeslip while you are still slowing down in the shut down area.

Again just stating facts not intended to hurt feelings. Good luck to everyone!

Well atleast for a few months untill I get back to ohio. Then it will be 10 second club...

You have bigger converter, more gear, bigger cam, less weight, better heads, better intake and you only ran .15 faster than my 1/8 time LOL.

Not when we put the heads and cam on JonCr96Z's car he wont. Which he already has the heads and cam. He just wants to see how fast he can go SI first. 7.40's with no headers is pretty impressive I think. Jon and I know a few things about some triple digit MPH in the 1/8 NA. Which is the real point trying to be made. If the moneys right we will go ahead and put the heads on the car now and I guarantee we know how to set up a suspension so a car will hook. I was running 1.45 60's on motor with my lt1 car 8 years ago.

Nice starting point. Get a few things figured out and the car should really start to perform.

Here's some more facts for you. There are people going a lot faster on drag radials than you are on slicks.

If he hooks dead I bet he still don't run out of the 7s. He's got other issues too.

And who sprays a ******* 75 shot? Quit being a ***** and do a big shot. It ain't worth the time getting the ******* bottle filled to only gain 3 tenths in the 1/4. You probably don't even see any 1/8 gain off of that, do you?

nah man.. totally see where your coming from... it started out as me stating what happened on the run.. now *seems like im making excuses... i have NOTHING to make an excuse for.. i know what the car ran, what it should be running, and what it will be running.. just gotta get it dialed in..

i agree 100% on that.. a lot of "internet times" seem a bit "fishy" for me..

i am trying to get there!

i know whats wrong with the car, and how to fix it.. just no money at the moment.. tatershack performance is helping me a little though with that!
the thing is with him, facts dont matter... see i run a 7.2NA and he runs a 7.4 NA.... BUT! i need to spray him to win.............
no matter what i do, ill never be as good as Jon........ !!!!!

well let me know when you buy a car...

1/8 is all abut getting out of the hole... right now my car isnt doing what it is supposed to (hopefully changing that tomorrow night).. look at your MPH and mine.. that should give you a little indication of what would happen in the 1/4... -----hint... MUCH more than .15..

thanks man, ill get it all worked out sooner or later..

you sure worry a lot about what other people are doing..

out of curiosity, what are my other "issues" besides suspension?

Kinda like how you got nothing to prove, but you can't leave without having the last word.

Uh, rev limiter and not tuned for heads, remember. I'm sure you'll come up with something else if those things don't get you what you want.

I'm just waiting for your times tomorrow. I really hope you hook it.

Jon,

You really have a few screws loose buddy. This is Lemons thread, not yours. I think it's you that can't quite bring yourself to stop posting in here. Stop shitting on his thread. Better yet, why not just pm him to see what track he's going to. Go meet him there and run him? Problem solved the way i see it.
