I just got off the phone with a very nice representative at OE Wheels LLC (a sponsor here).

I inquired as to the weights of some of there Camaro/Firebird wheels in 17" and 18"...here they are: (these weights have been verified and are accurate to 0.5 lbs)

I even inquired if they can get tires not listed on their site (mounted and balanced)...and yes, they can. They will work, with us on price too to be competitive.

All in all...I'll be pulling the trigger in the next 4 weeks. I would highly recommend talking to these guys...they have a real nice product to offer us.

Can you get a weight for the 18x10.5 C5 wheel with the lip?

 

We manufacture our own wheels and distribute to several retail entities however, that is not one of our accounts.

Shawn was a cool guy to talk too!!!! I will be calling him back once I get the info I need to send the wheel's too.

 

the upc number is 6902051. I think that is the number for the 17/18 staggered set, but I want to know the weight for just the 18x10.5 wheel.

 

Deep dish Z06 are so gorgeous...I will be ordering a set for my 3rd gen LSX swap soon lol

Great thread! Can I get the weight of both front and rear wheel on UPC # 6901728?

 

For reference on 18's, when I got my deep dish c6 z06's from them, the box said 28lbs for the 18x10.5 rears.

Definitally a good company to work with. The wheels seem to be of high quality, and I get compliments all the time on them and people asking where I got them.

 

AL 96 is helping us out. I sent him the requested weights etc and he is incorporating them into the original post, with images no less. Thanks AL 96

Average box weight for sizes 17"-19" wheels: 4 to 5 pounds.

 

Speed...are you stating this from experience, or guessing? Shawn told me the box weight of OE Wheels...so where are you getting the 4 - 5 pounds you are referring to? That's a really heavy cardboard box.


Can someone please confirm this number> If it's true, I'll need to update my numbers for accuracy. I purchased a set with wheels, so I can't estimate box weight on wheels alone.

I apologize for the inacurate weight on earlier post, I didn't set my
weighing to "0".

 

Lance...if you are monitoring this thread, could you please verify this for me? I'd like to make sure I'm not overstating the weight of your wheels.

If the box is much heavier, it would mean your wheels are very light compared to the competition...good news for us.

 

Here's the deal, I printed out all of the wheels at the top of the thread and I am going to have them pulled from the box and weighed this week. I'll send them over to Al since he's the man that pulled it all together.
