Well, the distributor has to spin into place, therefore the oilpump shaft has to line up as it spins in, i hope you have a really long flathead screwdriver, atleast 12 inch long to be able to line the shaft ip. It is hard for me to explain, you need to look at your distributor gear and see where it needs to be when you stab it.
