FLT Level VII + YANK TC = #1 Qualifier
With only 4 test passes on my NEW FLT Level VII 4L60E Tranny and my NEW Yank TC I put a "slow down short shifting" program in my 2000 C5 Corvette and went to Byron on Sunday to compete in Race #4 of the Illinois Midwest Street Machine Heads Up Index Series.
I run the 9.50 Index so my goal was to run as close to 9.50 as possible.
First Qualifying pass was a 9.44 in 2900 DA weather which was getting progressively worse.
Second and last quailifying pass was a 9.51 @ 151 MPH and ended up the #1 qualifying run for the Pro-Dominator Class giving me a Bye run in the first round.
The DA went up to 3333 for round one so I decided to "RUN IT THROUGH" to see what it would do with my "Slow Down" program shifting the tranny at 6400 down from 6700RPM. My Run was a 9.38 @ 149 MPH.
This combination is CRAZY it only gets QUICKER no matter what I do!!!

I use the electronic locking mech. for highway driving to hold the heat down to a minimum above 55 mph.
Lift at some predetermined RPM in 3rd gear
OR
Go back into the PCM and take more RPM & MPH out of each shift like I did before?
Remember I'm trying to run 9.50 with a 9.30 car in the Hot Weather!!!
