1969 Camaro w LSX Engine
why not stick with a gen 1 sbc?
I was thinking of doing one into a 79 vette that is for sale cheap locally with a great body & paint, just no engine. I also know where I can get a wrecked 99 SS M6 for $1,200.
I could probably make back the $1,200 by parting the SS out. I know the spoiler & hood are good. Trending Topics

The second biggest giveaway is the composite intake...you could still run a carb if you like. Take care of those two items and I think you would be pretty happy. My friends tell me a 69 has to have a lopey idle to "sound" right...I have heard some other LSX engines with aggressive lopes...and awesome full throttle through the exhaust. At the end of the day, an LSX is still a small block...just a better one in my humble opinion...

Dont get me wrong, I love the reliability and mileage of a nice LS1, but sometimes old school is where its at!
