I'm not suggesting that the procedure should ever be skipped - all aftermarket bellhousings require the alignment checked, but the Mcleods seem to need physical realignment with acentric dowels often when others are more consistently within spec from the start with straight dowels.

I agree anyone with an alignment problem did not follow the instructions. But anyone who DOES skip the alignment procedure is more likely to have an alignment problem with a Mcleod than other brands. That's all I'm saying.

4th gear won't go to 150 on a 26 inch tire and 3.70 rear gear.

Cool, do you have a picture of a cutaway for the t-56, just to see where the best spot would be to place the inlet fitting for best lubrication? Did you have a way to see what the temps where before/after? Thanks.

No I don't. I just kinda eye balled it and drilled a hole in the side of the case where I thought would be best. Then tapped the hole for a bulkhead fitting and then ran a tube through the fitting and bent it to the angle I needed to spray on the gear where I wanted it to spray. No I don't have any temps before or after. All I cared about was that the gear was always lubricated.

Search "RB Racing Electric Spur Gear Oil Feed and Scavenge Pumps" and it will bring up the site for them.

Nice setup. I have toyed with the idea on Open Road Race cars. two Nossles. One feeding the front gear set and one spraying on the 5/6 gear set Cobra 5/6 gears seem to help on those cars as well.

BTW I would not worry about over filling it. Foaming is not a real issue in this kind of setup considering the oil is ran in the spinning gears to begin with. I have over filled by a half a QT or so for years with no problems.

Bump

Anyone else tried this? Those who have tried it, how's it working for you? I'll be doing this in about a month when I tear my car back apart, along with putting a small tranny cooler in-between the pump and tranny

Any updates on this thread? How has it worked out so far. I'm thinking of doing this mod to my T56. Just as added insurance.
