Lq9 and 42lb injectors
Lq9 and 42lb injectors Hey all, I want to know if i'm going to be ok running my 42lb. Ford injectors on this setup.

Yeah, you'll be fine- I had a VERY similar setup and made 460 RWHP. I changed out the MAF, Lid, Intake and Throttle Body and made 478 RWHP. My CR is 11.3 though.
With that setup, you will have too much injector. There is no need to run a 42 lb @ 43.5 PSI injector, that comes out to 48 lbs @ 58 PSI, way too much for your engine.

I'm not talking about things that can potentially happen, but things that WILL happen.
I'm not in a position to change up injectors. It was either these or a stock set of 26.6# injectors.
The only issue is getting the correct injector data to put into HP tuners or EFI Live. Just changing the IFR table isn't the right way to do it. If your tuner has the data you will be ok, if not you will probably have driveablility issues, idle quality problems, possible surging.
your def gonna have to get it tuned im running 42lb injectors but im going to be running a 150 shot soon. my car runs perfect but i did have LMR custom tune the car. just remember you get what you pay for

Oh I definitely plan on getting this tuned, I wasn't even looking at not tuning it as an option.
This car is getting a brand new LQ9 anyway, so it had to get tuned in the first place
