i dont know if this technically counts as stock but, they claim stock down to the filter, with mickey thompson DR's. you make the call im just playing devils advocate
Even tho the DR's cut him out I can verify this car is indeed stock. That was at one of our Atco rentals and I was there that day. The guy Eddie you see flipping out has an M6 with mods and is only about 2 tenths faster than Tudds LOL.
lol i went 13.8 bone stock with street tires last sept at lebanon on a hot *** day. full weight, 2.73's and clogged fuel filter. 12's are more than doable
From: Gainesville, Florida # of drag strips runs: ?!?!?
I wouldn't say better tires dq's a car from "bone stock" but anything like a lid, exhaust, etc IMHO does. Tires are wear items, but either way as mentioned there are cases of "as delivered" F-bodies running 12s. My Formula ran 13.47 at 103 mph with a 2.06 60 foot time on stock Goodyears in August heat. I never tried the cooler air before modding it, but it might have been a few tenths faster.
The subject of this thread was that there are a lot of guys that have gone 12.xx in a showroom (NO MODS) stock LS1 powered F body on the stock tires(NO DRAG RADIALS) ... doing it with a couple of mods or drag radials is very EZ to do...I was asking for the guys that had run 12.xx stock on stock tires to post up their numbers to verify that fact for a person that doubted that a stock LS1 F body could do it.

In the add jp74 posted it said it dynoed at 321 lol that means flywheel hp was around 378 lol alittle underrated you think? I love it.. no ford owner will race me around my house ..... everyone still fears the ls1

And as I posted, with a witness above to verify, my 00' M6 SS, as delivered, went 12.94 @110.
Not till I added the lid, cutout, and drag radials did it go 12.66 @112.
theres tons of people with "stock" ls1s in the 12s. I had one with JUST a LM2 catback that ran 12.80s.
buddys 98 SS ran 12.96 @ memphis with just longtubes.
If the air is good they will run 12.90s with good traction.
I'm pretty sure I could just tune one and put it in the 12s. 6 speed cars need dr's to do it
Here at gateway in STL, I ran 13.18 with my 01 WS6 M6 with street tires(half tread Fuzions) 1.9 60ft and only an slp lid and the car had 104k miles. After LT headers, 3inch ORY, hooker muffler, pro 5.0 shifter, LS7 clutch and NO TUNE with wore out riken raptor tires I only went 13.08 but my 60 ft was 2.43 (spun till I hit 3rd). I then said hell with it because I remembered how sticky the fuzion ZRi's were and got a brand new pair on the rear and my first pass I had a 2.1 60ft and went 12.49@112mph...I took off at a little over idle and it started to just wheel hop around 4k rpm's, but when I hit 2nd it hooked and booked. I am very impressed with stock time and this time from what I have done. You done need DR's to go fast. I still havnt had a tune either....Also my buddys 1998 Z28 had every bolton in the book, 4:10's, auto with 3200 stall with DR's and never broke past 13.20's. It ran 13.97 stock at best though. The only other car I seen run quick stock was a 02 WS6 auto with paper lid and filter, had stock tune, 315DR's and a 3200 stall though and went 12.80's.....The LS1 F bodys are all over the board. You can get 6spd's quicker till ur pullin the left front, but 1 out of 10 can drive them at %100....and 01-02's were always quicker, but they too were scattered, some had totally different rearends, heads, blocks, injectors.ETC
