This makes no sense to me....I completely understand a good suspension, but minitubs being required doesn't make sense to me. You say one without the other means spinning all over the place without slicks .....then you say you'll spin without a minitub or run DR's everywhere ...
So are you saying that you intend on trying to hook on regular street tires after a minitub?
Sorry, I'm not buying the idea that minitubs are required. Somebody please explain. If all goes well, I hope to be the owner of a GTO next week.

All Im saying is after a tub w/ 315's DR's, and suspension, i plan to hook well on the street. I think thats the best and safest way to do it. I've broke loose at 75-85 mph.. and its really not fun at all. Its down right scary, and makes me wanna drive like a grandma afterwards !
If your car is a track car then obviously slicks, suspension, and gears will take care of you. Since you can't drive slick on a street then wide rear tires can help some.
