LS Engine?: Car has LS engine

Hi All,

I am testing the waters putting my 2002 Artic White Camaro SS up for sale. I am getting ready to buy a home and would just use the extra cash as a bigger down payment.

This car has been my baby since July of '04 when I bought the car with my grandfather from the original owner with 638 miles, the previous owner was so **** about the mileage that he actually trailered the car the 75 miles to where we met in the middle.

The car remained basically stock with the exception of a lid, cat/back, lid and filter until one year and a half ago or at about 11k miles.

The car has 15,000 miles, graphite leather, a 6 speed, a CD changer, still has that new car smell, it has the original rubber in the front, the rears have been replaced with 275/40 Nittos that really haven't been used yet. The original rear tires would sell with the car.

The work has all been meticulously and professionally done, all mechanical work has been done by a very reputable speed shop named Dean's Performance in St. Charles, IL and the tuning was done by Speed Inc. in Schaumburg, IL. The car idles as smooth as silk and put down 462rwhp/418rwtq.

I am asking $22,500 for the car firm.

As a caveat let me just say that I know the "book value" what places will loan, and what the market is for these cars, that being said I am fully aware that my price is set what some would consider "high". If you are interested in the car please feel free to ask any questions I would be happy to clear them up for you or any bumps are appreciated. If you have nothing else to do but spout off a negative opinion just keep it to yourself please because I do not want to hear it.

A car of this caliber would be nearly impossible to complete for this money with these components used. I have all receipts etc, car has been serviced by me every 2500 miles with Mobil 1 synthetic and filter.

Below is a list modifications to the car:

Engine:
Livernois Motorsports Stage 3 LS6 CNC ported heads
Livernois Motorsports Stage 2 Camshaft .595/.595 lift 232/232 duration on a 114LSA

FAST LSX 92mm intake (ported by Texas Speed & Performance)
PTM 95mm Throttle Body from Texas Speed
SLP Lid

Fuel:
Walbro 255lph in tank pump
Lucas 42# injectors

Transmission:
Monster Stage 3 Clutch Kit
Monster Chromoly Flywheel
Tick Performance Adjustable Master Cylinder
Pro 5.0 Shifter

Exhaust
Magnaflow cat back
Kooks O/R 1 3/4 Headers
Kooks O/R Y pipe

Rear End/Drivetrain:

Thanks,

Jeff

Even with the FAST and quality h/c work, that's a bit much for a stock 10 bolt car in a common color. What's the mileage? GLWS.

The mileage on the car is 13,400 miles. Car still looks excellent and drives pretty much as close to stock as this combo allows. I drive it alot in traffic and it does very well. Artic white was one of the lower produced colors of the SS 6 speed cars. This car is hard to duplicate for the money if someone wants to do it great, if someone wants a turn key 462rwhp/418rwtq car that has been done right, no corners cut, and professional work than my car is for them.

Thanks,

Jeff

I went ahead and made an edit down to my absolute low dollar. This is what I will take for the car no less. Someone will get a great car, that runs incredibly hard for the money. PM me, or let me know if you are interested.

Thanks!

The gas mileage on the highway is still phenomenal, I can still pull anywhere from 25-28 on the highway, in town still at around 18-20. Gotta love the 6 speeds

Let's think about this for a moment....Let's say he DIDN'T have 10 grand or MORE in mods ALREADY done to the car. Let's say it was bone stock. With the rare color, low miles and pristine condition, what would the recommended asking price be? Anyone with any sense would suggest 17k give or take a grand. You pay that for it bone stock, then you get the mod bug, which you would. Next thing you know, you're spending 10k or more just to get the performance level that he has it at now. I bought mine for 22.5k, low miles, few mods..I got the mod bug and have since dropped another 8-10k in mods on mine, i've got well over 30k in mine and it's stock rear end. Add it up people, this is a steal....As a matter of fact, if somebody wants to give me 20k for mine, i'd buy this one in a heartbeat!!!
