Default i have huge tweeters. suggestions?

i recently installed a set of infinity reference components in my fiero, the 5.25" set.

so i figured id upgrade for my camaro and got some infinity kappa 60.9cs's.

my initial plan was to flush mount the tweeters somewhere on the upper door panel, or ideally surface mount them on the triangle piece that covers side view mirrors.

but dayum, theyre huge. i ended up temporarily surface mounting them near the window crank hole, since it wouldnt cause any permanant marks. theyre just really really ugly. i mean really ugly.

has anyone else dealt with these before? think they would fit in those tweeter pods in the other thread?

This is the first time I have heard of big tweeters being a problem.

Firebirds have another grille for tweeters, I think. Would they fit in there? If so, replace the panels.

Thumbs up

Here's where I flush mounted my tweeters , I used a large hole saw drill bit that's just a little smaller then the flush mount cup the tweeter fits in and my dremel, mostly on the back side of the door panel .

while i don't like the idea of cutting into my door panels, i definitely like the way these look. my have to consider this.

i like the idea of the tweeters in the pillars, but i dont know if mine will fit.

do you happen to know the diameter and mounting depth of yours?

i also thought about putting them in the door panel in that same spot but i didnt want to make such a big hole and find out theyre too deep or i dont like em.

i just did em up in photoshop. colored the base with the light gray from the door panel and the grille with the color of the stock grille. they look pretty decent like that. anyone know where to get color matched interior paints?

(ive also since fixed the passenger side buttons.)
