#1 is the EVAP canister purge valve (emission device) You can remove it and plug prot and tune it out of the PCM. #2 is the MAP sensor.

Looks like bad gas, poor oil type, and minimal service. But not to bad hey its a rental!

Default more time to do search on LQ4

I still doing search about LQ4 motor> should I start build or sell. My goal for my LQ4 run +450hp. I don't want to do change the crankshaft, rods and pistons because those parts are real excellent shape/condition and no scratched. I want use same those cranskhaft, rods, pistions from that LQ4 for +450hp. I can't afford to have replace bigger crankshaft, rods, pistons for that.
.
I will post when I make up my mind.

Just change to the LQ9 flat top pistons this will boost the CR. L92 heads and intake and good tune. That motor will make 450HP easy on 93 gas!

Thanks for giving me that idea^^^...Does crankshaft have to change for LQ9 rods/pistons? I bet, the connecting rods have to change. Correct?

LMK.

it would be easier to use 243 or 799 milled heads instead, even in stock form they will support 450+hp on a dished lq4 piston.

That's a thought as well. But would the LQ9 pistons and L92 heads make more power?

Jeff the LQ4 crank and is the same. You would want the LQ9 rods as well its the better than the LQ4 (same lenght just stronger)

yes the l92 are superior in flow compared to stock ls2
may not apply to his engine, but my .060 over lq4 with lq4 rods, pressed speed pro dish hyper pistons, unported but milled, upgraded with 2.02 valves vj and backcut with light bowl and runner blend ls2 243 heads, car lays down 490rw thru m6 and it turns 7k+,so the ls2 heads will support more than enuff hp for street car imo.
if hes gonna remove pistons from bottome end, might as well just machine for larger piston and more ci, along with new or reconditioned stuff.
i dont think its worth to disassemble bottom end just for nother set of stock rods and pistons, milled smaller chamber heads and cam with supporting bolt ons will more than accomplish his 450hp goal with dish pistons

I don't think so either. The Stock L92 heads and LS3 intake should support at least 450HP. And SDPC sells ported L92 heads for not that much more than the stock L92's. Just pick your lift all for $800 bucks or cheaper piece. http://www.sdparts.com/catalog/lsgen...nderHeads.aspx

I have really been think about trying them out as I happen to have a 6.0L block taking up space in my shop!
