01 YUKON 5.3l on DIY engine run/test stand Just finished another harness and setup today. This one is going into a early '80's GMC mud/rock crawler truck. Need to fix some exh leaks, tidy up the wiring and tune it.

What are you running for a fuel pump on the stand?
Fuel pump is a mid-80's Jaguar (bosch) from the local u-wrench-it. I had a buddy at work (pictered) build the stand for me in exchange for re-working his 5.3L harness and PCM tune. Next run stand will have the engine mounted 5 inches lower to allow easier water filling. He made it higher to allow oil pan removal while on the stand ; not needed as these engines generally don't leak oil in the pan area. Next engine is a LQ4 going into a Miata.

Verdad Gallardo I started collecting the parts to build an engine run test stand of my own.
Was the mid-80's Jaguar fuel pump an inline or in-tank pump? Do you still have a filter attached to the pickup tube? Sorry for all the questions - I looked at a pump/pickup assembly from a late-model minivan but the pump and filter only connected through the big plastic hanger assembly and there was no way to fit that mess through the opening of a gas can.
I don't want to spend a bunch of money on this project so I'm looking for used OEM parts whenever possible. I'm not sure I'll have much luck finding a Jag. If anybody reading this thread has some suggestions on any other vehicles to scavenge a suitable pump from - please let me know.
