nice build, I cant wait to see what it does when it hits the track. If i could ever start this new job maybe I could have something similar one day.

On a side note. Did you have to lose the wipers when you cut the cowl?

First weekend out we couldn't get the car to leave due to the converter being set-up for my old cam only with a 1.69STR. Here's what the best 1000ft pass looked like. I'll be getting new times soon with the different converter and I may be changing to 4.30 gears. Lots of testing needing to be done . I didn't have to lose the windshield wiper you can keep them .

Rt-.556
60'-1.681
330'-4.791
1/8-7.440
1/8 MPH-93.88
1000-9.683
1000 MPH-108.96

I'm considering going to a vic jr and a 4brrl TB on my engine, I would love to have mine setup for direct port though. Maybe just like a 150 shot on the stock bottom but later on I could go big or go home

No more track updates yet or dyno pulls but both soon. It's been raining for the past week. May be able to go to the track tomorrow and see what it will do.

On a side note I did race a 02' Z28 MS3 cam, supporting bolt ons and a 100shot and I got him by 1-1.5 cars. I was running all motor. His race weight is 3380 and mine is 3560. So it should run pretty good after I get it all lined out.

Went to the track today but it was pretty shitty, track wise and DA. Here's how it turned out anyway.

60'-1.628
330'-4.742
1/8-7.376
1/8-93.19mph
1/4-11.585
1/4-117.74mph

I got three runs and then it got rained out so I didn't get to do a lot of testing, I was also having to hotlap it so that didn't help either. So I pretty much wasted $30 to make three runs.

It's getting better....here's the car leaving this past weekend. Still need to get the converter redone by Circle D when I get the money though.

ran a 6.99 at 98MPH in the 1/8. Looks like I need some sub frames the car is chattering the tires pretty good.

^ A 5c will make it a whole different car. That's a lot of converter.

I'm sure hoping so! I have a Circle D 4c that came out of a truck (around 4000-4200) so I assume it's around a 3600-3800 in my car at 3500lbs. I'm stuck on either a 4200 so maybe I can squeeze a 100 shot out of it or 4400 and stay all motor.

I think he hit it with a small shot of N2o in first gear to wake the converter up to run the 7.0 index class.

Get the 5c and the car will 1/8 mile like you want it to blaine and everything else will take care of itself. I would not go to loose on the converter,my Yank SS 4000 feels like a 4400 behind my 370 motor.

What Scott said, I hit it off the line in first and ran all motor the rest.

I've got a bunch of opinions from different people on which route to go with the converter and stuff. I'll just have to see....I think the 5c in a 4000 stall will wake it up, but I talked to Greg and he thinks the 4.30's will help.

Time to do some more researching...

Greg has a good point! You can throw more gearing at it and see if that will give you what you want and not have to worry with the 28" DR's on the car but it's not a big jump. Should give you a tad better shift extention and add another 150-200 rpms on the topside of your powerband and if you don't like them i know someone with a 9" that will take them off your hands
