6 speed guys come on, Driveshaft Slipe yoke problems!
car hooks 1.40's 60 fts NA. I have broken gears, a input shaft and twisting several slipe yokes.
I had a new custom chromoly driveshaft made for me, 1350 solid joints. and a new forged slip yoke.
and after 5 passes on it it has already started to twist the splines again.
but the splines on the output shaft are still straight as I can still slide a stock yoke all the way till it bottoms out.and with the shootout coming up, i dont want any problems, and I am out of idea's.
anyone else had this problem? and if so what do I need to order NOT to have this problem.
thanks
Charlie
Check out the Mark Willliams billet yokes.
I'd also get the torque arm mount off the trans tail shaft if you havent already thats just a disaster waiting to happen ( looks like it already has? ) Get a crossmember relocated mount for the TQA or the shorty with its own c member and that should help take a lot of punishment away from the slip yoke/
What tire pressure are you running? Seems like guys who run lower than 14psi have these sorts of issues which you can kind of feel on launch it digs but it also wiggles and makes you think hmmmm whats going on back there?

I guess we shall see how well this one does the next few weeks. I am going to the shootout, and going to the track this week.
