That's the best way other than having your local dealership or someone that works for a dealership run the VIN for you. It's too easy to clone the fourth-gen ram air cars. There are lots of bad clones with easy dead give-a-ways that folks try really hard to pass off as legit too.

aint that the truth. i myself am guilty

then again i don't claim that my car is a real WS6 (no badge) but i do have a factory WS6 airbox/hood

my only dead giveaway is that rather than buying a new AIR hose for the airbox, i just extended my existing air hose. i went so far as to buy an oem blockoff plate for down in the fenderwell where the old airbox was. well that and i am not running WS6 tips. i like the stocker non ws6 quad round tips better than the oval ones.

then theres also the fact they didn't actualy make a WS6 in 1995 so it'd be pretty bad if i did try to pass it off as a real 1995 WS6 T/A

Does anyone have a picture of a RPO options list with WS6 that they can share? Will I find it on the driver or passenger side? Thanks again for the help, Will

what year is your car? if its an LT1 96-97 WS6 it will actually be in the glove box. if its a 98+ car its on the drivers door.

that one might actually be an LT1 hmm....

according to carfax that vin is for a 97. it also has 32 records so maybe sometime in 97 they started putting the rpo codes on the door instead of the glove box. i know on my 95 they are in the box and not on the door.

go the the 8th digit in the vin from the end. if its a number that's the year (over 2000) 1 = 01 2 = 02 3 = 03 etc.. from there it goes alphebetically backwards from Y.. Y = 2000 x = 99 w = 98 v = 97 etc... it skips U and a couple others though.

I've seen the RPO sticker on the door of `96 and 97 F-bodies.

All 4th gen V8 coupes (WS6 or otherwise) start with this VIN.

2G2FV32 is convertible V8.

WOW!!! What a find! Congratulations. That has to be one of the finest SOM with low miles examples in the world. I mean how many can there be in such a rare color with under 10k miles??? Whatever you paid it was well worth it. Now the big question. A driver for your wife???? Are you insane??

Thanks. We feel so lucky to have found this car. Believe me that it kills me that shes gonna put miles on it but that's why we bought it. We were looking to finally get her first brand new car. I was wanting her to get something like a G8 GT. She told me she really always wanted a "new" TA so we started looking and found this one.... She is the type of girl who will take good care of it and already plans to keep it forever. Will

That is good to hear. Sounds like you have a super wife! I also agree that the T/A is a far better choice than the G8 GT. I would never trade my low mileage T/A for one despite the age and $$ difference. These T/A's are special cars and you guys will be getting many looks.
