Video of the Hummer at the dragstrip.
it was very hot, the DA was 3850 plus the dragstrip was greasy, but the Hummer still did a 2.08 60 ft time and a 14.23 in the 1/4 mile. This was after driving the Hummer 75 miles to the track, so the engine was good and hot. With cooler temperatures this Hummer should get into the twelves in the 1/4 mile. Bob

If you have one of the broken pumps around it might be worth trying to find a 97' era Corvette pump and see if you can find a way to swap the pulley shaft and swich over to a bolt on pulley. Using the housing from the truck would make everything else work, but if you can make the Vette' pump shaft and bolt on pulley work it may live longer.

What is the weight of that truck? A basic SC kit bolted to a 5.3 on a pickup runs low 14's

I hope you see 11's out of this package, there should be no reason not to..

The truck weighs about 7000 lbs, it's heavy. Bob

The belt still runs on the electric pump, and we really feel that having to drive the water pump is not what is causing the pulley to come loose on the shaft, but it is the belt tension that is causing the problem. Thanks. Bob

Looks good Ray, I'll give you a call back this week. We were really busy with a GTO we put together for the Shootout, and then I had to catch up on business once I got back from the Shootout.
We consistently make over 800 rwhp with pretty much the same engine combination we have in the Hummer in other vehicles. Same cam, etc.

LS2/402 with AFR 225 heads, EPP blower cam, ProCharger F-1A at 12.5 psi of boost, in CTS-V

LS2/402 with Patriot Stage 2 LQ9 heads (customers decision to stay with his old heads) EPP blower cam, ProCharger F-1C at 15.9 psi of boost, in 2004 Corvette.

At this point, we just want to get the Hummer to be dependable without yanking off the water pump pulley. It has plenty of power to blow all four tires off of it from a standing start, not bad for a 7000 lb vehicle. Maybe the cats are hurting power, but we just want it to be dependable. We don't care if we have to drop the boost down to 10 psi to keep the pulley on it. We don't want to put a carbonite finish on the blower pulley, that may require a new belt every 300 miles. Belt alignment has been good, but we were having to run the belt much tighter than we even run the ProCharger belts to keep slippage down. It took to guys to wrestle the belt on half way, then we rotated the engine to get it all the way on. This was after using longer belts that would end up with slippage. This was after we tried Left Coast 32 overdrive kit too.
Max at Cartec is working on a Flip Drive design for us, but these designs don't happen overnight, and the customer just wants us to try to help him sell the Hummer. Like I said, I'll give you a call. Thanks! Bob

Kinda interesting to see the the Torque curves of the 2300 vs the Procharger. Both make good power that's for sure!

Thanks Steve, I appreciate the offer. The same transport company that dropped the Hummer off at the shop is picking it up, to take it to port. I was told this will take thirty to forty days. Bob

Wow! We had a sneaky suspicion the airbox might be restricting airflow, so we removed the top of the airbox. Boost jumped up from 11.9 to 12.6, and horsepower increased from 601 rwhp to 645 rwhp! The above dyno graph has both runs overlayed on them, so you can see the differences between having the airbox enclosed and open. What really surprised us was that the power always nose dived off at approx 5800 rpm, now it just levels off. Next we're going to go back to the 3.0 blower pulley we previously had on it. Bob

With the smaller 3.00 blower pulley back on we encountered massive belt slippage at approx 3300 rpm, as you can see on the above overlayed graph. Even with the blower making a lot more boost prior to the belt slippage, the horsepower and torque were nearly identical to what it produced with the larger 3.20 blower pulley. It appears we have found the maximum efficiency range of our combination. The blower belt is now toasted, it slipped so bad it was smoking.

Keep in mind this truck has 35 in tires on it, this thing is making a lot of power! Bob
