All depends on how the car was treated...but id say somewhere around 140-150k is starting to get up there.

I am looking at one with ~150,000 miles on it. before dropping it in what would be some suggestions to freshen it up? I was going to have the heads looked at and upgrade the intake. Put a new cam into it (still researching). I will have an electric water pump so no worries there.

i have 160K on mine and am going to do 241 heads with a 227/224 cam and a 3400 stall. i started having valve float around 80K and haven't fixed it yet since brand new heads are going on anyway. only thing i'd check is the fluids really: oil, coolant, tranny fluid and rear end fluids

182K here and still pulls hard. no abnormal ticks, taps or knocks. at 200K everything will be swapped out tho.

I only have 68k on my 2000 WS6. Of course, I have no mods really so at some point I will do something to the engine... doing the exhaust this weekend.

I think the 241's came in 01....theres really no differance from the 853's except for a slightly better design.

HAHA!

This is pretty typical. You should check out the whole drivetrain. The rear and tranny are both kinda weak in these cars....

Yep, hence built tranny (basically a stage 2 rebuild of sorts), chromoly driveshaft, and a 12-bolt. The 12-bolt is giving me troubles, but that's a whole other story...

I bought my car last May, in June it threw a rod...at start up one morning.

It had 81K on it. But I only owned the car for 3 weeks so I cant say how the car was driven by the last owner. The motor was clean internaly except for the rod dust and hole it put in the side of the block.
