Ill be there by 7pm at the latest. My car usually doesn't have traction issues but the test & tune prep has been sucking pretty badly lately from what I have seen. Hopefully it isn't an issue for me.

Got some passes in tonite between the rain. No good launches due to poor conditions. They didnt get the track dry until late but kudos to them for not raining it out. Anyway, I found a leak at the exhaust manifold gasket and I got some data. Not sure how to feel about the outing right now. It went 10.08 @ 127 (coasting because I hit the limiter about 50' out) @ 12 psi with a 1.60 60'. On the stock longblock it went 10.002 @ 129 (also coasting) @ 17 psi with a 1.38 60'. That's good I guess. I also had 3 more mph @ the 1/8th.

When you get that 60' down you should pick up quite a bit. How were the ECT's and have you got a blanket on there yet?

Redoing all the vaccum lines with the quick connect stuff for the CO2. Now I just need tires and solid motor mounts.

On your Temp. issue, are you running anti-freeze?? If so , remove all the anti-freeze and run straight water with a bottle of water wetter and this will drop your temps some more and also get a turbo blanket as well.

Just do it.

Limiter is only set at 6600 RPM right now. I intend to spin it to about 7200 out the back here soon. I will be changing the gears also when the funds become available. Work is VERY slow right now. First I need to buy a new set of tires.

The car usually 60's in the 1.3x range. That night it rained twice and they had just dried the track. Not much in the way of prep by that time. So I'm not changing anything with the suspension. New tires might help a little.

I'd say that at the current 12 psi, it will run a 9.5 @ 142 @ 3700 lb race weight. Should be about 800 rwhp if my benchracer brain dyno is accurate.

Going down the track, I was stalled up at 8 psi on the transbrake and the 2 step at 4K RPM. When I let off the button it gets to 12 psi almost instantly. So on the track, no lag.

On the street, if I'm cruising at 60 mph (2900 RPM), There is no boost. If I mash the gas, it stalls to about 4200 on the converter and starts making boost. It took about 1.5 seconds to be at full boost without braking boosting. Not sure if it will happen faster with the CO2.

I'm on water with water wetter already.

Got a blanket but haven't gotten around to putting it on yet.

The PT88 looks right but I have no idea about the TC78.

I got all the new vacuum lines and fittings in. Everything was 1/8 pipe except for the port on the Aeromotive fuel pressure regulator. It is 1/16 female. Apparently a female 1/8 to 1/16 male is really difficult to find. The local hose and pipe store ended up making me one for $7 bucks. I just need to drill the firewall and put in the bulkhead fitting for the CO2 and fill the bottle.

I also had a friend make me some solid mounts. That should take care of that problem. It's going to be a pain in the *** to get the melted ones out while still in the car but it'll be really easy to put in the solids as they have a much smaller footprint.

We got the solid mounts in. WHAT A PAIN IN THE ***!

Just to be clear, We are not doing the pedestal type solid mounts. My friend fabricated steel mounts that attach to a normal BMR Turbo Kmember. And no, he wont build them for anyone else. The amount of time required to make them and the liability that could be associated with it makes it not worth it. Also, becasue the steel doesn't flex like the poly/clamshell type mount, it is not very forgiving at all as it pertains to alignment. I think that my motor moved up 1/2 inch as there is no sag either.

Changed the break-in oil. Looked good.

Also got the CO2 filled today, found the fittings required in order to backfill the 10oz bottle from a 15lb mother bottle, and got it all hooked up. Works well.

Gotta do a little tuning tomorrow. She is a little rich up top right now.

I just need a set of tires and I'm ready to give her hell.

I got the spring in the gate at about 7 psi. Controller is setup to make 12 psi. Got on it in drive and hit the controller at about 5500 RPM. It felt like I sprayed it.

That's the only conclusive data I have so far. No tuning or data logging today. Too much Halloween traffic.

I got the tires on the car today.

Unfortunately, I'm having some fueling issues. Rather, lack of fueling. The pump isnt cutting off, it's acting more like it's running dry. The tank is full but the pump sounds like its cavatating. I think there might be a chunk of plastic that may have come loose in the tank. These stock tanks on the 98's are metal but they have a plastic liner on the inside and the baffles are also plastic. When we drilled thru the bottom to weld on the bung, it made a pretty big mess. When we welded the bung on, it made an even bigger mess because the plastic in the tank wanted to catch on fire. We cleaned it and cleaned it and cleaned it but some brittle plastic must have broken off in there. The bigger problem now is that I have a full tank of gas that I need to siphon out in order to try to hunt down the culprit. Oh well, it's always something.
