cruise I have my lt1 cruise all wired (correctly) im pretty sure. It still doesent work.
Im not sure on the meaning of terminal G seeing a ground thru the chmsl bulb.
What does that mean> Connect G to the brake light '12v' or to the grounded side( which is always grounded)?? I dont get it.

If I understand correctly, the brake light wire to the cruise control module is hot when pedal is not pressed, and then drops to 0v after the pedal is pressed, shutting off the cruise.
For cars DBW cars with a TAC module, is it the same way? Does the stop lamp indicator circuit have to be hot to allow the cruise to work, and then 0v when the brake pedal is pressed to shut cruise off?

the drive by wire is totally controled through the PCM and TAC module. it is simple enough to hook up. nothing needed for an already working drive by wire setup (well just wire in the stalk switch)
just follow the schematic for the year you have and enjoy

I've read this several times...and maybe I'm just having a blonde day, but either way...I'm stuck. I will be putting an LSx into a Dodge soon, and I would like to keep cruise control; I am at a loss as to whether this works with an aftermarket ECU or factory only. Also...I don't quite understand terminal H, what does that go to?

How sensitive is the module to the environment it is located, i.e. can it be mounted in the engine bay on a fender and endure splash water from occasion engine washing, or is it 100% sealed and can be mounted under the bumper in the path of road wash on rainy days, or does it need to be installed in a dry environment such as the under the dash inside the car?

We got three of these from a wrecking yard the other day (2 from s10's & one 2001 pickup). I took one apart & it was sealed very well. I think they could handle any enviroment.

i pulled a cruise module and cable off a lt1 firebird and the tab on the cable bracket is wrong for the ls1 throttle body. its the closest thing i have found. the tab will snap into the throttle cable spot but its pretty tight on the cable with no module hooked to it. i have several modules and cables now but now i dont remember what year/make/model they are from. but the cables dont fit the ls1. i the blazer one i have is older than 95. another from 97 pickup. if someone needs one.
Not sure if this helps anyone, but here are some shots of the ’98-’99 F-bod LS1 cruise control module and the 2 different cables that that were offered, TCS And non-TCS.
’98-’99 F-body cables are one part number ’00-’02 cables are another part number, possibly different module end? Regardless both cables are no longer in production nor in an any of GM’s dealer inventory anywhere in the US!

I'm putting an LS1 in my 69 GTO Judge clone and want to put cruise on it. I found a turn sig. / cruise lever from a 70's car that just has a button on the end of the lever for the cruise.
Can I make this work?
I'm thinking that I would push the button to set the cruise and then hit the brake to terminate the cruise.. but not sure what needs power where
any help would be GREATLY appreciated

I did this..70 chevelle+89 corvette stalk...
you would need a on /off switch (unless you ran it to be always "on" with ignition..) and the accel up/decel function would not work, but other than that it could be made to work as you describe.. but for me, i use the accell/decel buttons all the time

this is perfect.. I was trying to find a stock that didn't have the wiper switch built in since my wiper switch is seperate.. the one you have does have the bright light symble on it but thats ok.
