Introducing Stage 2 Intake Porting
i home ported my ls3 intake manifold modeled after the stage 2 and it now howls like wind blowing around the house(not a whistle) i have sprayed brake cleaner around and had the intake off agian and can not find any leaks. does anyone else have this? most noticable at idle and reving of even crusing. im running a lg motorsports g6x3 cam my map reads 70-72kpa at hot idle 950rpm. do i mabye have a internal leak, in the roof of the intake into the runner

FAST already did most of that work, as there are no internal posts to remove, and the floors of the intakes have been changed in their design. The only improvements that can be made are in widening the throttle opening and opening up the entire intake runners, which is good for another 10/10 in most cases.
Yes we do, just let me know if you want it as a stage 1 or stage 2.

We have yet to do a LS3 back to back comparison with a stage 2 vs stock. We are scheduled to do a LS7 this Saturday and will post those results Monday. As soon as we can do a Stage 2 LS3 vs stock we will put them up.

LS7 Stage 2 vs Stage 1 We now have a LS7 dyno to show the gains from a stage 1 to a stage 2;
This Car is an 07 Z06 with the following mods:
Callaway CAI, Fasterproms Ported TB and stg 1 manifold, STOCK EXH manifolds, B&B Fusion catback, Fasterproms custom tune.
Run 1 was a baseline pull with all aforementioned mods, fully optimized.
Run 6 was Stg 2 manifold and a tuning tweak, more fuel.
We were pleased to get this kind of power in weather in 90F + air temps.
Bottom line: Stage 2 over Stage 1 picked up 6 rwhp and 9 rwtq through out the rev range, and 10 and 10 in some areas.

Have gotten about 5 out, but nothing local here where we can get it to the dyno, swap the intakes on the dyno and get a real comparison like we were able to do with this Z06 and our GTO. A local 2010 Camaro SS will hopefully be doing it this week, but the owners schedule is pretty tight.

so how much power should i gain without a tune on a C6Z with everything else stock besides an intake? Would it be wise to go stage 2 if i dont plan on tuning the car very soon? or should i just go stage 1? If you would rather, please feel free to pm me.

The average gain for a LS7 stage 1 intake is about 18 rwhp and 20rwtq, but every car is different and the increase form a stage 1 or 2 will be different because of that. This particular Z06 already had our Stage 1, and the tune was already fully optimized, so to get the most out of the 1 to 2 upgrade, additional tuning was required. With out planning on doing any tuning to optimize the additional air flow, I would stick with the 1. Do the 2 if you know you will be eventually having it tuned.

Just did a 2010 SS M6 in PA that picked up 30 rwhp and 22 rwtq with the intake and tuning. Will post dyno graph as soon as its available.

2010 2SS/RS, Kooks LT Headers, SLP Axle Back, LMR CAI, Formato Fasterproms Stage 1 ported intake and throttle body. 413.53/rwhp & 406.34/rwtq, tune by Jeremy Formato.
