Default Jon@texas speed, i emailed ya.

Just in case it gets to you faster thru here, I emailed you this thru the texas speed site:

"Hey I have a few questions for ya. I’m looking to get heads this spring, but I can’t decide whether or not to go with the PRC 5.3L 2.5 heads for $1134 (with double springs), or to go with the AFR 205s for $2300.. I know a lot of people make 440whp on the PRC stage 1 heads with a decent cam…but my goal is to make upwards of 460-470whp through my 10 bolt. My car is a 6 spd manual, and I’m running a FAST 92/92 with g5x3 cam combo on stock LS1 heads that currently makes 420rwhp. My main thing is this… Is it worth it to spend the extra 1200 on the AFR’s? I know you’re probably paid to say no it’s not, but I just want pro’s and con’s. I’m wanting a great n/a street sleeper, and my tuner is pushing me towards the AFR’s saying you’ll make more power throughout the rpm range under the curve, not to mention probably making 10-15whp more at peak power. What are your thoughts, as I am very interested in learning more about your PRC 5.3L stage 2.5 heads. edit: Since doing more reading, I'm also interested in the v2.5 LS6 heads and the PRC 215s too. Whichever you think will net me 460+rwhp n/a and still able to run pump 93. Thanks for a prompt response!

-Tony

Also, if you have some customer or shop cars that run these heads I’d like to see what kind of power they make with mods similar to mine. Thanks again!"

well sheeeeit LOL. And after doing some more reading....**** the PRC 2.5 5.3L heads...I wanna know about these PRC 215 CNC LS heads that do 134mph with an MS4 cam! How well would those heads do with a G5x3? Similar to an AFR 205 head in terms of power levels?

I'm looking for a good n/a setup. It's not that I'm not willing to spend the big money, I'm just trying to determine if it's justified.

Well I'd like to speak with a texas speed rep about ALL of their heads they offer. You can see my goals, and if they have a means of reaching those goals I'd like to hear what they can offer me. I'd obviously like to make the most power I can w/o spending a ton, but if the hp/$ is right, i'll probably buy just about anything lol.

Wait then, they are not at work and your asking them to work on their time off. The world doesn't revolve around you and your personal timing and what suits you.

This whole thread should be removed, if you want to talk to someone specific you don't make a thread calling out to them, you private message them directly and wait.

Calling them out? World revolves around me? I wasn't demanding anything from them, just asking if anybody was around who could answer these questions today. I'm a very impulsive buyer and money burns a hole in my pocket, I'm sure they can understand that. Tell you what...Let Texas speed rep's answer my questions since it's directed at them. Thanks bud!

well if the prc heads go 134mph . hell step it up . i wonder if they have any 140mph heads . you know like secret one's they don't talk about

maybe start a new thread as an idea the title should read "emailing john force"

then say " hey john i emailed you here on tech to see if you would part with a pair of youre 300mph heads. oh and tell ashley i think she is hot as hell"

just an idea but hell might work .just imagine THREE HUNDRED MPH HEADS with a super secret g9x15 cam

let us know how it works
best of luck

Riiiight. I realize 134 was on a full suspension, auto, weight reduction car....however the mph is still impressive for an n/a 346.

I noticed you run AFR 205s...how much did you gain off of them? About how much does a 4.10 gear account for in robbing hp on a dyno btw?

IMO You can't go wrong with either.

Good luck

Things I gather from this thread:

-It's in the wrong section
-Has rendered itself pretty much pointless
-The OP needs to do some more research and realize that A: It's not the heads making the car go 134mph, it's the package and B: Just because a 1-off car on the internet does it, doesn't mean you're going to do it.

Email Texas speed, and await their response. This is the internal engine section. Not the "hey I emailed ya" section.
