Default APC, 70w Fog Light Install - PICS!

Upgraded my fog lights with some 7 color changing APC ones. I know it's rice, but they're only 1/8" smaller than stock fog lights. And I'm not hooking up the angel eyes on them too. Just needed some new ones, needed upgrade, saved $$ and got ALOT more light out of them... Also installed some EuroLight bulbs so my fogs match my headlights. Now I have 70w low beams, 100w high beams and 70w fog lights. Now I have decent light output!

Here's the pics. Need new relay, which I'll get tomorrow and get some more pics from a distance.

They definitely look a helluva lot better, but I can't tell a difference in the lighting from those pics!

Thanks. Seems to be, but I'll find out tomorrow how much/if any better they are.

In the pics, the ones of the stock fog lights are not lit up. Didn't get any pics of both stock and aftermarket lit up as a side-by-side comparison. I did the driver's side first and the relay is mounted on the passanger side due to it being closer to the battery.

I'm thinking about it. Just alot of extra wire. Might hook them up and if the the button will turn them on/off then I may just stick the button underneath the bumper so I can turn them on if I wanted.. I'll see what I can do for ya tonight when I hook up the new relay!

How much were they?
Where did you get them?
Are there any quirks in the swap?

I noticed a hammer there... What was that used for?
Post a PN so I can see if I can find them at my local autozone
THanks in advance..One of my fogs just crapped out.

Got them from Advanced Auto.

Paid $60 for them.

No quirks at all really. I tried to figure out the best way to mount them and concluded that the easiest and most effecient is to ust drill holes in the side of the factory bracket and used supplied screws to mount them to the factory brackets. Only thing you might need extra is a SPDT relay if you put more than 55w bulbs. Might and probably could get away with the supplied wiring, but I wanted to be safe.

Nah no hammer. I changed my oil last night and needed to give the wrench a little "bump" to get the drain plug loose.

Scanned over box last night, but didn't see a model number. Closest thing I saw was APC "Series 7". Here's a picture of the box I took with my camera phone. I'll take a real digital picture tonight so you can see the box clearly.

Well, didn't feel like rewiring stuff to get the angel eyes to worry. I'm sorry to disappoint.

Here are some distance pictures though. These things rock. As far as fog lights go, night and day difference between them and stock. My lights match now and everything lights up awesome! Wish I'd took some with the fogs off. HUGE difference!

The ones from the top of the car and side view really don't do a good job at how they really look. The light is WAY more dispursed and not as focused as it looks in the pictures...

Measure your stock fogs and go to Advanced. They seem to have a nice selection of fog lights and even display ones. Ask for a tape measure there, so you can phsyically measure them too. What I orginally were going to go with were Pilot Navigator Cyberlights. www.pilotautomotive.com They have all the dimensions on their site. Took me a while to find some that were the closest to 4.5". I believe everyone else that upgrades T/A fog lights go with a 4" which, to me, doesn't look stock and kinda out of place.
Are camaro fog lights plastic or metal/glass?

I illuminated my front bird with 196 white LEDs, got a clear cover and painted it and added a chrome overlay to it so only an outline shows. Here's a link to my pics:

Just noticed out of all the replies only 1 other T/A has replied.. Kinda thought it'd be a really good upgrade for T/As over the 4" lights.

I think the APC in the title scared people away.

Camaro fogs have a plastic housing with a plastic front projector lens... at least from what I can see on the outside... i'll prob know more after I do my clear corner install and get up in there.

Upgrade them! Won't be dissapointed!

I should have gotten pics with the fogs off. I did turn them off and all the light in front of the car was GONE. Only light that showed was the headlights that were against the house..
