Im kinda curious about how many people own one, they seem less common than Trans am's.

I think the early 2nd Gen Formulas look better than the Trans Ams (around '70-ish, with the trapazoidal grills, 2 headlights). The roof line looks flatter on those early cars (the late 2nd Gens have an extreme looking 2 angle roof line), and the forward scoops on that front end look better than the shaker IMO.

But, from late 2nd Gen on, T/A all the way baby.

another here, I liked the feature of the Formula compared to the T/A. A little lighter, and most dumb ricers (as compared to smart ricers?) that see my single exhaust pipe think it's a 6-cylinder.

I prefer the nose of the Formula to the T/A and lots of my T/A friends agree. Don't know why someone would say it looks like ****.

And what's this about single exhaust? Mine had dual from the factory.

All f-bodies have single exhaust from the factory from the y-pipe back to a transverse muffler that has dual outlets. I replaced mine with a single inlet/outlet 3" flowmaster and a single left-hand tailpipe (similar to a V6).

I like the formula nose as well, sometimes I like it more than the T/A sometimes I don't...kinda wierd. I definitely prefer the T/A rear though. I hardly ever see formulas around and when I do it's a special treat.

ive only seen a handful of formy's around here. mine included. and i like being in the minority. there was only 1602 formys made in 99 alone. theres losts of ws6 guys who have their number posted that are higher than that. i feel like i should post my number.

1 of 1602 baby i guess i could try and break it down even further...or maybe ACW is going to chime in with the breakdowns for me

The Formula is the rarest of the V8 F-body models. I like that exclusivity. Plus, I just couldn't see paying an extra $4K for a different nose and larger rear spoiler.
