Well, I'm getting ready to go out of town but I couldn't resist getting my daily mod fix so I did a little work. The factory valve cover bolts here have a catch that won't allow the bolts to slide out of the seal/sleeve, I'm using the stainless bolt kit so they gotta go :

Nothing that can't be cured by some trusty boltcutters!:

Valve covers are on and MSD coil packs installed:

Thanks for the props everyone!

ahhhhhhhhh ditch the coil packs mounted on the valvecovers....... thats the one think i hate about our motor.... make your own plug wires and a set of trick valve covers to really set it off with that intake and rails.......

Note-To-Self...., come spring DO NOT assume that a certain 3rd Gen Blue convert is an easy kill.

Great work, looking forward to seeing it around Middle Tennessee.

Looks great all around! The red rails on blue intake look pretty good, superman colors. That is going to be a sweet ride. Great job.

Too bad I'm not planning on going to Vanderbilt University anymore. I would have been in your backyard. What is your projected date/month on finishing this bad boy?

ASAP. I want to get it done quickly , yet keep it detailed nicely . Can't have both unless I employ a NASCAR team and I don't have that kind of money.

I figured you could with the "crazy money" you get from Peterbilt. O well. I assume which way are doing it though, and you will enjoy it better in the long run if done that way.

Popped by our local shop today and decided I needed to buy 2 18"x 9.5" rear wheels to replace 2 of the 17" x 8" rims that were slightly bent from a misunderstanding with a pothole at 70 mph. I haven't decided yet if i want to put 18s on the front yet. Just spent 1g on 2 wheels in a mere few minutes.

Today , test bolted in the clutch/brake pedals and cut the holes in the firewall for the clutch linkage/cylinder to fit . As I've previously stated , this was an auto car so I had no provision for a manual . I bolted in the pedals, drilled the 2 outside holes to bolt in the cylinder using the support on the pedals as a template . After that , I removed the gasket from the cylinder and used it as a template to cut the center hole for the cylinder to go in the firewall . Afterwards , I cut the hole with a hand held air saw and deburred the holes for a nice flush fit. I needed to do this prior to painting the engine bay so I wouldn't chip the paint. This is what I ended up with. The cylinder is not round so this is why the hole is egg shaped. Test fitted everything , fit very nicely.
