It's changed quite a bit since these were taken. The 98 is gone and in it's place are 3 road race LT1 cars.

But, here it is 2 years ago ...

Warren Motorsports Complex ...

Memorabilia ....

The car, at rest. My 3 tier tire cart just on the other side. Each rack will hold 4 315s or 6 275s

Shop supplies, tool storage and my wonderful shop chair made from a Ford P/U seat

Spare parts ... intake to brake pads ... cats to radiator hoses. When you live in the sticks, parts just ain't down the street ...

Welding/cutting cart

General storage

Toolbox and entertainment center ... that's a redundant phrase ...

Notice the start page ....

BFB (Big Fvcking Bench) w/ storage bins. These bins have nuts, bolts, washers, electrical connectors, bulbs ... anything small and segregate-able ...

Fabrication area

Fab area ...

Inside, looking towards the front

From the front ... that's a 160' of concrete or burnout box!

Metal laydown ...

From the back ...

Tour complete. Donations accepted ...

Mitch, approximately how much did the concrete, building, etc cost? How big is the building and where did you get it? Not worried about all the other goodies that are inside just looking for a ballpark figure. Thanks.

1998 dollars ...

Building, complete, was ~$9000 ... I had the shop custom built and it took 2 guys 3 days to erect. It is 24 x 54.

18' single front and 12' roll up in the back. 1 pass door and completely insulated (makes a HUGE difference inside). Therear was a covered awning that I enclosed myself and I built the 16' swing doors on the very back.

Concrete and flat work was ~$7000 ... I have embedded, reinforced floor plates installed with blind nuts welded on the back side to attach anchor points. I had the slab poured at 6" and have 12" x 12" concrete beams running the length and width. I also used 1/2" rebar for strength.

I had a sidewalk poured from the shop to the back porch and the driveway to the shop was 165' long and 12' wide.

I ran RG59U and CAT 5 from the house to the shop, buried in conduit. In seperate conduit, I ran 10/2 copper from my shop to the house.
