Need Help with a stripped wheel stud... What to do? HELP I was working on the T/A last night and removed the right front wheel and one wheel stud and lug where REALLY stripped badly. I must have crossed threaded them when I mounted the wheel. Anyway, how do I replace this stud and does it need to be "pressed" in or what? Where can I buy just one stock wheel stud? Any help would be appreciated! I would rather remove the hub all together to have the work done, cuz I don't want "Mr. Goofwrench" to have to remove my $800 wheel. Very cautious I know, but better safe than sorry!

Re: Need Help with a stripped wheel stud... What to do? HELP These are actually easy to replace on the front. Knock the stud out with a hammer. Slide the new one in from the rear of the rotor - put the stock lugnut on it _backwards_. That is, with the flat side against the rotor, and crank it down to pull it thru. I replaced mine with ARP studs so I wouldn't have to worry about them anymore... Not sure where you can get a stock one locally - I'm sure you can get one at the dealer for a couple of bucks...

Re: Need Help with a stripped wheel stud... What to do? HELP I just replaced a rear one. wheel off, undo 2 bolts to take off caliper, slide off rotor, slide the new stud in from behind. Really pretty easy.
