Is there anyway I can narrow this number down by transmission, interior color, etc.?

Not without the ASC data... and '98 is a real tough year to get data on. It took me over a year to find out about my car.

What I'm wondering is how they got to build number's in the 3000 range when there was supposedly only 2835 WS6s made in '98.

I am getting mine hopefully soon. It may be a good idea to separate the years inot different colors, or put then in order by build #.

My understanding is the breakdown showing only 2835 did not include cars sold / destinated for Canada or export. I've seen somewhere that the total number of '98 WS6s built is 3086, and Bob's spreadsheets show one with #3081 (I presume the remainder, #s 3082 - 3086, were amongst the "missing" red and black cars).

Another curiousity about the '98 build# spreadsheet, there were a few '99 pilot cars sprinkled in there in the spring of '98 that got ASC build#s, even the sequence# of their VINs are very low, and out of line with the other ASC#s on the same / similar conversion dates.
