Default my 4l80/yank/supercooler/m6 conversion

im new to this section more or less so i thought i would show how my conversion turned out

Transformance 4L80e w/ rossler t-brake
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture17224.aspx
the shifter
B&M Quicksilver
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture16958.aspx
trans cooler
B&M 130-70274
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture18814.aspx
the stall
yank 4l80 sc3000
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture16957.aspx
flexplate
tci ls1, painted so i sanded it off on all contact points
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture17900.aspx

also installed autometer temp gauge, have not installed the t-brake button yet

i bought a billet 4l80 slip yoke from strange, and swapped it to the end of my m6 denny's driveshaft. didnt have to change length etc.

i tied the park/neutral switch to the clutch switch wires, and tied the reverse light switch to the reverse light wires from the m6 harness, also tied in the output speed signal wire to get the speedometer back.

had to set the rear gear and tire size to really weird numbers like 6.0 gear and 19" tire but it is on the money now.

most all of my trans related pictures of the build are here:

Where did you get the speedo settings? Mine stays 2-5mph no matter what I do. Ive heard about using #'s like that but couldnt get any other info on it.

And I hope nothing hits your trans cooler, Ive never seen one mounted like that. Nice swap pics!

Thanks,
Vann

Oh, Mines attached to the AC condensor in the front of the car. But I guess that would work.

i cut the handle off to fit a cut 6 speed handle shaft

the b&m is aluminum and the 6 speed handle is steel, so there was some funny business involved to mary the two.

try em now.

. also due to not having a fan on it, my trans temps were hot with that cooler under the car. RICE ETR on here has one under the car on the other side with a fan on it and it does ok.

but i let my intercooler radiador take over as my trans cooler, it has worked extremely well!

you can kinda see it here in front of the radiator on the passenger side
http://fastrides.com/photos/mm/picture19213.aspx

also i eventually replaced the steel line with the lightweight black hose, and i made this fitting for the trans

So the only thing wrong with it was the fluid was a little dark i'm guessing?

the fluid does that over time when racing anyways, but yea cooler is better.

the temps would keep climbing before and i didnt have a way to cool it down, now i can manage the trans temp pretty fine, and now with the fan i can cool it off even when i am sitting still.

Do you know if you can piggy back the BS3
