S-10 V8 swap
what caught my eye (and the selling point) was the sagin'***** 4speed behind it.

personally, I didn't care for the looks of it (the moon visor, the hood scoop, the chrome around the rockers/fender wells) but I couldn't complain seeing as it was already on there
the truck ran alright, it would easily beat a bolt-on '99-up mustang GT, but nothing special. lol, stock 4cyl single trac 4.10 rear would make the 275/60's burn through 4th gear with ease. that's about all that truck was good for, that and hauling hay..

a t-56 with a 383 would be BAD ***!!!! i was thinking a t-56 with a carbed LS2 crate if i ever get money.

That Big Block S-10 was done really nice.
i used the stock 4.3l trans. it is the NV3500. same one they use in the fullsize pickups 2wd, with the 305 and 350 and the 4.3l. you can defianlty find them in the 4.3 extended cab s-series (94+), as they were considered a work truck.
suposed to be rated for near 450ft lbs.
they have an internal slave sylinder also.

At the time, I was able to pick up used transmissions at the boneyard for $50. one would usually last about a month behind the 355 I had in it.
The BBC was in a '91 2wd Blazer. The crossmember was sectioned, and a trans crossmember was fabricated. Ths steering shaft was a little hoky, using too amny universals to go around the motor, but all in all, it worked pretty well. Hooked hard, and was pretty sneaky on the street. Ran 6.20s in the 1/8.
