Badass, wish i had the $$ to participate w/o any fear of law enforcement. I would build my SS into a 200mph monster, that was actually stable and reliable at those sustained speeds. That would give the Exotics something to talk about hahaha

Ok i think they need to get their guages recalibrated or something bc they were like were going 120mph and they barely past an 18 wheeler I think they were full of ****.

******* chill E chill. I am going to do that in my near future. Any Fbody is not the platform to be running with those guys for that kinda sustained speed.

Ditto. Vette is the most suitable for that sort of driving.

Guys do the Silver state classic, Pony Express, etc. all the time in STOCK f-bodies. Why wouldn't a modded one be a good idea?

If you were to build an F-body capable of doing 200+ mph, then it would be quite scary to drive considering all of the other factors holding you back (aerodynamics handling weight etc) I, personally wouldn't want to try it. I'd rather use a car built around that type of purpose. Thats just me though.

Read this article http://www.kugelkomponents.com/bonne...onneville.html and tell me that f-bodies arent suited for high speeds. They stated this car was more stable than ANY car they have ever driven at those speeds, they have built all kinds of vettes, vipers, and other supercars.

Well in one point if you build an f-body that goes 200mph+ then it must have been modified pretty good meaning that it will consume gas like crazy. So you will have to make stops frequently so whats the point if the game is to get to one place to another the fastest.I mean it can be done and might be done but for me ill just rather take my vette or maybe a bone stock c5 z06 add full exhaust and do a procharger or paxton ect.Now thats a better platform for that kind of driving dont you think

You ever been 160 ish in these cars? They are loud as ****, and even with $5k worth of suspension in my car, it's still doesn't inspire confidence...

There is no comparison between these cars and what they are running LOL. Ever seen the windows suck out of a corvette at 170MPH?

I feel safer going 180 on my bike haha.

Some of you need to drive some other cars and realize what stability at those speeds is all about. Going 150 in a BMW or Porsche is so incredibly different.

thats true. exotics are built for that kinda stuff. driving one of those it probably feels just as smooth at 150+ as it would at 75mph cruising. than again, thats why they weigh in the 4000+lb range...theres alot of noise supression material they put in these things also i can imagine.

im done well over 160 in my T/A and its pretty stable but its loud as ****. im with you though, ive been just as fast on my bike and its a better ride..

LMFAO. I have been 160+ in different f-bodys on many occassions. As well have driven/riden in more high end cars at the same kinda speed. Night and day, period. 175mph in my car is sketchy at best. Whining, vibrating, etc. And you miss the most important point of all sustained speed. Those guys are driving how many miles again, is this one all around the US or around several states, I forget? Nonetheless atleast a thousand miles. How about aero? Sucks on these cars. How about comfort? Shitty. You cant turn a transvestite hooker into a prom queen holmes.

I wouldn't hold my f-body above 160 for more than 20 seconds. I value life.
