Exclamation CheaTR Cam/AFR Heads package +++

I have a Thunder Racing CheaTR cam and AFR 205 Heads package with modified 66cc combustion chambers for the CheaTR cam. Cam specs are 214/230 .601/.578 on a 117LSA. Heads have Comp Cams 5/16 7.375 pushrods.

I also have the SLP modified LS6 Intake Manifold that allows for the retention of the stock EGR system-basically keeping you smog legal.

In addition I have nearly everything needed to install the above components-including the LS1 Camshaft and Head swap gasket package for 99-00 LS1's. TR part # 111-12

Also the Thunder Racing modified oil pump & O-ring, and a Hypertech 160 deg. thermostat.

Lastly, have the JPR LS1 Cam Installation tool.

Basically everything you need to do the swap, the only thing you'd want in addition to this is a new timing chain that I forgot to order at the time.

In any event, I ordered these in the spring '06 from Thunder Racing and do to the demand/delay didn't recieve the parts until Novemeber '06. Since then my plans have changed, was busy finishing school, moved, and have had a hell of a time finding work in this economy/job market. I tried putting this up for sale when I moved last year, needed the cash, had a few bites, but no one commited.

This is obviously a costly package. At the time I was not a 100% motivated seller, i.e. wasn't willing to part the package, etc. (I am more motivated now, being broke and living off credit cards will do that) and I would prefer to sell it that way still, but I'm much more willing to listen to offers. Anyway...

The parts cost me $3,766.85 plus $85 dollars for shipping for a total of $3,851.85. As I said they are all brand new still in box. Since I ordered them many of the components have increased in price.

I am asking $3,800. If someone is looking to do this same upgrade here's a chance to get everything you need and save a few hundred bucks or so over current prices(not too mention getting everything right away as TR and AFR is usually many many months behind on new orders...although I have been out of the game for awhile and can't speak to the current situation).

Feel free to ask me any questions. I prefer a local buyer but will consider shipping. Thanks for looking.

Also, if you have any updated info on anything I've posted above feel free to chime in. Like I said, I have been out of the LSX scene for about a year and I'm curious what's going on now.

I am really looking to sell this as a package, if it doesn't move that way and folks are interested in most of it seperately I will be willing to part it. That will only be after a few weeks or so for sale as a package though. Thanks for you interest.

Would you know what the estimated HP gain with this package is on a full bolts LS1? Why the modified 66cc combustion chambers. Would this set work well with nitrous? Good street manners? Thanks!

Just to help the OP out with the power questions I ran this cam and full boltons with a few tuning issues so some power was lost. only one 02 was working and little things. Only difference is I have Patriot stage II heads so the AFRs will give you more power.
I put down 420hp and 415tq on a dyno jet. With the temp pushing close to mid 90s. This cam is AWESOME for nitrous. It is a really nice cam for daily driving and fooling people didnt really kill my gas mileage either.

Thanks for the info 99z28monster. A number of folks have had great success with this combo, it really is the best of both worlds in terms of power/reliability/streetability.

Also, everyone who has PM'ed me about individual parts, thanks for your interest. I am getting close to splitting the package, if I don't have any interest in buying everything together in the next week I will be splitting it up. I will post updates in this thread if that happens and respond to your PM's letting you know.

UPDATE: Everything listed for sale in the first post is on the market. My situation is this. I have moved to Virginia and still have all these parts New In Box. Will part the package. Please no low ballers.

Anyone interested in the package as a whole or individual parts post in this thread and PM me. Ready to do this ASAP as I am in the process of buying a home and can use the extra cash for a down payment.

Thanks.
